It looks like 300zx/z32 aftermarket suspension will fit my 95' Q45 does anyone know if its true? Im looking to install some godspeed or any good brand of upper control arms, tension rods, tie rods, everything I need to have fully adjustable suspension. Can anyone help?? Im trying to buy the right parts here without messing up..

Search some more... There are plenty of old posts here with G50 owners who've put everything adjustable for a Z32 on their Q45 (short of springs or coilovers).
Upper and Lower control arms (adjustable) to name a couple.

Whats going on guys. To give you a little advice on things ive done some playing around myself.

I have a 90 that I put Z32 coilovers on. To get them to work on the front, the upper holes had to be slightly opened up on the shock towers and thats it. As for the rear i had to make upper plates to adapt the small z32 coilover top to the large mounts on the body. Supposedly you can disassemble the stock upper mount and make it work on a coilover if you want to even mess with that.

Ive also put Z32 TT brakes on my car which didnt require much.

As for FRONT upper control arms, take a look at what z32/r32 ect people have done to cheap aftermarket upper control arms. If your car is at all low then the fronts will be hitting the inner fender and more than likely you will snap them in half. Im gonna save you the time and $$$ and say DO NOT DO IT. There are a couple people that have done S13/s14 front suspension setups on theirs. But the cheapest and easiest way to adjust camber out front is with spacers behind the upper control arm mount.

On to REAR upper control arms. S13/z32 are TOO SHORT. I have tried 2 different brands and unless you want -5 degrees of camber dont wast your time. As for S14 ones I am not sure how the single beam would hold up to a heavy q45 and I also dont know if they are long enough anyway.

Rear toe arms are next, which i need to pull my Powered By Max ones off my S13 and see if they are going to do the trick. they are angled to clear the subframe which is an issue on any RWD nissan that is low. From the looks of it though they will be the correct length needed.

All in all you shouldn't spend too much time trying to get S13/s14/z32/r32 parts to work if you are looking for a direct bolt on. Everything will require a little work but most of the arms are worthless to MY application. There are a couple companies that makes specific Q45 RUCAs I believe battler version or something does. Also, I don't trust cheap arms on my S13 which is over a thousand lbs lighter than the Q so maybe avoid those as well since snapping a cheap control arm on the highway would not be fun.

This is all coming from someone with a typical I dont give a fug attitude, so I had a lot of trial and error and wasted at least $600 in experimenting since no one had real answers on what DOES and DOESN't fit. A lot of post are "______________ SHOULD fit"

Hit me up with other questions if needed.

Okay thanks I'm trying 300zx parts at the moment. I have coilovers already (had to make strut tower holes bigger and grind upper control arm bolt to fit em on the front) I'm trying some godspeed parts actually, they look like simple bolt ons from everything I've seen z32 300xz's and q45's look the same in Suspension maybe some tweaks here and there like you said. But the godspeed parts I got off amazon said they fit a q45 as well and they look exactly the same as q45 parts and I've seen some people say they fit and are the same. I'm assuming they'll fit I can't imagine after all the research I've done I'm wrong. But we'll see soon.

Yeah depending on the height of your car and your overall alignment goals you will run into problems. Good luck

Aftermarket always gives problems. I've literally never seen a straight easy bolt on kit from aftermarket..

Lets get pics of how the car sits. Plus specs on brands and all that stuff plus what they got your alignment set at.

Alright so I'm kinda getting the hang of forums. My ride needs some work but it's coming along. I found out how to do pix (previous post) and found out 300zx parts fit a Q45 of the same body style time period. UPDATE on my 95' Q45 waiting for tire guy to get specific tires so I can put on some 18×10+25 rims. After that I'll roll the fenders according to the rims and then paint. More stuff after that too.

Well next time you have the rear wheels off check what brand rear upper control arms you are using and measure the overall length would ya? I think im a bit lower than you so I need longer arms to get less negative camber.

Hmm.. Idk.. I got mine off flipping amazon I think hahah. Bought it for a 90-96 300zx and it was an easy bolt in. Works, does the job, and gave my adjustments I needed. My Q is really tall if we're talking lowlife but I'm running about -.5 to -1 camber all around.

Nice you were able to dial it back. Im sure my car with stock arms is sitting at -8 or something all around and toe is fukt. Need to order up arms for it this winter and make things right.

Haven't gotten to measure arms been busy won't be able to for a little while too. -8? Isn't that like getting close hover craft status? Haha but I'm full suspension minus lower control arms. Prepare to pull the truck out of your fenders. I rolled mine for sure but sounds like you'll have to do more work, but I'm 18×10 wheels. You gotta pic of your ride?

Yes the work is done. I spent a lot of time making the fenders and they came out great. These are just temporary wheels, I needed a starting point besides the stock wheels that were on it.

Im trying to fine tune my suspension setup but ive already thrown a bunch of cash at various adjustable arms that dont work. Thats why im looking for measurements.

Ahh okay. From what I know my upper control arm is adjustable +3 and -3° that's all I can do for now. The shop autocross car is going to be taking up the rack for awhile so I won't be able to get my car on it for anything.

Word. I wonder if there is a difference in arm length from the zenki to the kouki. Mine is a 90 but I've done all body pieces from the 94-96.

What version of the Godspeed Coilovers did you use? The MONO-RS or the MONO-SS?
