Q45 Ignitor and DSM Resistor?

Hey, its me again, yea i know, lol does anybody have a Q45 Ignitor onthere CA18DET? if you read my last post, they cut the harness where the MAF, dropping resistor, and Ignitor plugs would be but anyway, im thinking of buying a Q45 ignitor, just need to know which wires i wouldconnect to which wires on the Q45 ignitor.

and i read the write-up on the DSM resistor, and i was confused on whichcolor wires go where on the DSM resistor? again, my harness was CUT where it "Y's" off from the ECU and engine harness.

please help guys?!?!?

Red car wire ------ White DSM wireAll else (4wires)-- Black DSM wires

i have a spare DSM box if you wanna buy it off me...

(edit) ....theres no wires? hmmm check the FSM to see where they cut it and i guess repair it or get it repaired...Dice n Splice is how i see it

i did check the FSM but does the FSM say what the color wires go to the ignitor and resistor?

i tried looking for prices but i couldnt find any besides ebay and those dont look like the right kind (maybe theyre same) so ill just throw you a price... $40 shipped sound ok?

did some homework for you...try and follow the ECU pinout and coloration of the wires

hey thanks alot! i just went and check the motor for the dropping resistor and could NOT find it. so im guessing i dont have it..tsk tsk tsk. is it by the injectors or did it go to the other side of the motor towards the turbo? anyway, i bought a DSM one on ebay last night for 35 shipped. Thanks for the offer tho! but yea i've read the DSM resistor write-up and this diagram really help explain it. Thanks alot.

yessir .... the CA bible ...

as far as location goes...mine didnt come with one but when i sent it to wiringspecialties.com they chopped it and put it right next to where the fusebox (underhood) is and so i just had to mount it on the body somewhere

it probably doesn't matter as long as i have the right color wires right? lol

i'm going to check the FSM right now for some ignitor wiring and if i can'tfind anything i'll get back to this thread. Thanks guy

i couldn't find the Ignitor in the FSM?last page is 881 and its the ECCS wiring diagram and it looks like there is a couple pages missing?

the ignitor we wired in is down by the fuse box in gray and black, the chromish looking box on the top of the strut tower is a DSM ignitor pack.

my harness came pretty funked, but my BF and his friend made a new one with a little sodering, swearing, and arguing.

oh **** IGNITOR...for some reason ive been reading RESISTOR...lol

but what do you mean ignitor? i thought CA18DET has IGNITION coil packs...

you have a picture of what your trying to look for..

*mind you im not a CA pro/expert so im just going by what i know

yeah the exhaust breather is open....... hasnt been an issue for as long as Ive had it. I ran a filter on there for a while, but It didnt yield anything valueable.

The CA and SR both run coilpacks, but both need ignitors for ignition to function properly.

The CA is the only one to have that ghey dropping resistor though. Boop.
