So I'm finally taking the G out of storage this evening. I haven't stored a vehicle before and all the info I can find is on prepping a vehicle for storage. What should I do about getting it back out besides letting it run for awhile? Oil change? Should I drive easily for awhile and for how long?

It's been about 4 months. I know it was started up once for sure to put plastic down, but I'm not sure when that happened. I talked to my friend who's keeping it for me yesterday and he said he was in there the other day for the first time in months. Bad?

Did you stabilize the fuel? If not, i would make a quick trip to the gas station and fill up with premium. Has your battery been connected this whole time? If you store it, you should definately disconnect the battery. Oil change would be a good idea too.

yeah i put stabilizer in the tank, battery had a trickle charger on it, had a cover on the car, etc etc. i did pretty much everything prep wise besides jack it up a little. i just want to make sure i bring it out right so i don't have a costly repair job this summer.

Not sure where you would live to have to store the car,or if you are in the service which I'm guessing because of your location? Don't know,if you aren't, and just storing it through the crappier weather, I would just store it with you under a cover and start it every week or so and let it run for 10min,and that will save you having to worry about those costly repair bills.

yeah, it was for the winter. i live in ann arbor (U of Michigan) and going home would be a hell of a trip with the G, turning what is a 7 hour drive into a 10 hour trek north where the snowfall can easily be 200+ inches per year...that would not be a fun trip my friend haha. and i was offered free storage, so i took that over constantly washing salt off.

I'd say just throw a cover on it,and go out and start it every so often.
