i have 50 stillen bucks to spend but idk what to spend them on..i know i either want the stillen pulley or headers but there's reasons to not get themfor the headers..1. i dont want my coupe to be super loud and idk how loud they will make my coupe2.idk if nj does the smog inspections but i think they do so i dont want to run into that problem

for the pulley..1.i.ve heard people talking about how pulleys could mess up your car2.i dont think they will ahve as big of a performance gain as the headers

i just want to hear some of your guys opinions

go with the headers it will let the car breathe better which will up the hp at least 10 to 15 depending on your set up already

Usually you want to retune the ECU after a header install to gain any real #s but I understand you will get some benefits. Be aware it may throw the CEL light due to O2 sensors, depending on how you set it all up. I had my header installed on the Sentra, with a Magnaflow cat after the downpipe. The first 02 sensor was put in the header, and the #2 sensor after the cat. However, 98% of the time the car would still throw the CEL and complain about the sensor voltage.

Go for the header if you are able to deal with the legal smog crap (most new cars don't get inspected for the first two years in Texas).

The guy who prototyped these ran his car 1000 plus miles with no cel. It wont be an issue.

Pa and nj both have smog laws. i got my coupe inspected yesterday, so now i dont have to worry about the header for a year.

I had Stillen install their pulley before I got my Turbo and I noticed a big Torque increase. Take-off's were much quicker as well a acceleration. If you have an intake and catback exhaust then the headers will make the extra air that the engine is getting from the intake flow smoother. The catback will help that in the process of extracting the air. The more air the engine gets the more HP it will gain. I would say SO WITH THE HEADERS dude.

Well, ideally you would like to do both...

HP wise, I think you gain about the same in real world driving conditions, maybe less with the pulley for the 2.5... but in terms of total work involved, you may have to remove the headers if Jersey does a visual inspection as well as the sniffer test... and unless you're versed with a wrench, you'll be paying for those...

I say go with the pulley!
