I install my AFCII tonight with all this setup.1: Hot wire, 2: 7-7 , sensor cal is 1-1 3: 4cylinder and arrow pointing up ( by performing the sensor check as said by the manual)do I need to do anything else to it at all?? I'm reading the manual right now, and after I finish the basic set up I start the car and it start right up, but did not run the car because it is almost midnight and my exhaust is lil loud. it reads RPM and everything else. but I yet to correct the Knock signal, because of the time issue ( i don't want to get in trouble with the Johnson's if u know what i mean). but anyway I wire it up by the manual the ground wire, brown 1st toward the ecu and about 3/4 inch apart from the black ground which is toward the firewall ( the manual says atleast 1cm). Do u guys do anything else?? my engine set up is prety simple for now. 3" cat and SSAC N1 dual exhaust, Gredy FMIC, Sr T25 with .80 A/R, walbro 255, Koyo rad with E-fan .my boost is @ 7 psi , and I hava a boost controller coming next week and dyno session set up for the end of this month. I'll not be adjustting any fuel just yet, it will all done on the dyno along with boost. I just want to make sure I got the afc setup right. Thanks in advance...and I'll post some pics soon. C .

check your wiring... did you hook up the safc maf wires correctly? are you using the hotwire maf wires (not the map wires)?

ok, mine did exactly the same thing. found it had accidentally set itself to 6cyl for some reason, but it still wouldnt run for beans. eventually it just sort of fixed itself.

there has to be something wrong with the reading coming out of the safc because if you plug it directly into the ecu and it runs it proves the car is set up fine. doesnt the safc manual say to set everything with the ignition on, and then to turn it off before starting the car? it may not be saving the information you enter into it.... i had a real problem with that for a while before i realized i was an idiot (safc noob).

when you going to the dyno? i need to go really badly and would rather not go by myself... im guessing youll be going to walker dynotune in trussville? (unless you guys have one locally/closer...) anyway, let me know!

Tim, yeah we will be going to walker dyno, ( only $85 for and hour run) but I'm still waitting for Project Nissan to ship me the Boostcontroller I ordered last week. call me cos there will be 2 more Ca guys and my lil brother S14 with us also...I'm hoping to dyno it toward the end of the month. 256-312-0090 C

problem solve. after I was on the phone with Apex-i, turn out that I use the wrong wires for the Maf..running fine now... stupid me..thanks
