As some may or may not know, my SR recently developed a terrible case of rod knock, or if you didn't know here: zer...age=2 . Thus I've decided to rebuild the motor for hopefully some big numbers and semi-streetable response and this thread will be where updates and questions will be posted. We'll kick things off with an update courtesy of a big helping hand from my pal Tulsa_S13. It was freakin cold so we didn't get too far but starting a thread like this without an update is freakin gay. Enjoi!

Hahahaha. I'm gonna hold you to that. You'd better have a 3 cylinder by the time I'm done. We're racing b1tch.

No. I really don't and my goals may change but I want to squeeze the most out of whatever top mount setup I go with.

Damn dude I just actually read through your build plans. Looks nice, are you gonna actually do all this work yourself or just buying the parts and sending the motor off? Specially the solid lifters and stuff. I wouldn't want to risk it, I'd let the pros handle it haha.

The only thing I'm doing myself is assembly. All the shimming and machining and crap is being handled by the pros.

Yeah I'll probably be down until next summer if all goes well. But if there is any financial issues like I know there will be, realistically it'll probably be done by next winter.

A lot of people are going with the 9.1. Are you using that big bore kit?

Ryon, not to piss in your cheerio's or anything, I think its retarded as hell to do a topmount set up, with near stock suspension and wheels, but thats just me eh?
