Before I run to the dealer about the glass on my car I figured I'd ask here.
Over the last few months the glass on our Versa has developed a lot of little marks that are starting to affect visibility when the sun is shining directly on the glass. These marks range from tiny pinpoints to "spider hairs" that are maybe 1/32 inches in length.
They are located throughout the windshield, rear window and side windows.
If you look closely you can see that the marks are on both the inside and the outside of the glass. They are NOT consistent with the kind of window scratches you can get from a carwash.
Is there some kind of window treatment applied to the glass on each car that might be "crinkling" here? The car was parked in some extremey hot sun late last summer (120*+ days in Palm Springs).
I've tried Invisible Glass and waxing the marks. Absolutely no effect. Is there some other reasonable treatment I can try? Is it defective glass?
I can't think of a chemical the car has been exposed to that would cause this kind of problem both inside and out.
