I've got an after market radio and the audio will cut off if I turn the car off and then back on. Is there anything between the head unit and the speakers or is it a straight wire from the head unit to the speakers?

Sorry to hear that your car is having trouble. I'm not all too well versed in your vehicle, but can offer an option for you.

Here at NICO, we have Factory Service Manuals available free to members. Take a look at the link in my signature and find the FSM for your car. You're probably going to find the info in the AV.pdf section.

Just for future reference, it's a good idea to have your vehicle details (year, trim level, etc.) in the post, since it's not listed under your user name.

I'm not sure if that helps here. I've put the factory radio in and I think that this might be a problem with the wiring. The FSM isn't much help. Here's the situation:

Aftermarket stereo cuts in and out with the audio. It will magically "pop" back on at random while driving.

However:

I plug in the factory stereo and it works, but I noticed that one time it didn't. It was completely flat. It was as if it wasn't plugged in. When I run lines straight from the aftermarket stereo to a speaker surprise! I get audio. Any ideas here?
