Ive been researching some on this subject to try and solve my cold start issue. From what ive read in the FSM, the PRSCV regulates the vacuum seen at the fuel pressure regulator at start up. When cold, the pluger in the PRSCV is open allowing the FPR to see atmospheric (no change in fuel pressure while cold). Once warm, the solenoid closes the plunger and the FPR now sees manifold vacuum/pressure. I have piddled a little with trying to get this to work, and while it does solve the cold start issue, it introduces a once-warmed up issue. So i took it back off, thinking i might need a vacuum check valve or something similar.
Now, if the PRSCV has nothing to do with my stumbling and hesitation only while cold, then what could be causing it? Once my car is fully warmed up, it drives 100% like a normal car (a normal car with a GT28R pushing 16 pounds of boost).
