Hey guys, I finally found this pressure leak that's been bugging me for some time now and may be the cause of my rough idle (hopefully!). On the passenger side of the balance tube air is heard being sucked in. Would this cause rough idle?

open vaccume; check all vaccume hoses for leaks and disconnections. Also there are little rubber seals that are on the intake to help seal the balance tube, and make sute the balance tube is true and not bent.

So fixed the leak, apparently there was a bracket that I put back under the balance tube instead of above. How else can I check for leaks in a cheap way? The engine is loud so it's a bit hard to go at it by ear alone, I got lucky with this one because it was really loud.

I did that exact thing when I changed the spark plugs. Scared the hell outta me for a little bit because it wouldn't run, then I realized what I did...and DUH. haha

Yeah, that's when it must have happened, when I last did the spark plugs lol.

Hey guys, what would be the ways to check for leaks besides listening? I came across this tonight:

but I don't have an air compressor. Do those ultraviolet kits work for our cars that they sell in autozone?
