Hi, I love this forum, thanks for the help on cruise control. I will have it working soon. Found out the problem thanks. FYI, picked up 1993 Infiniti J30 service manual off Ebay for less the $30 bucks, mint condition. This will help immensely. Had not a chance to browse it for this problem that just popped up. I just replaced the back brake pads and rotors. Very strange. Engine runs so smooth but from looking at the brakes, it looks like the car has been sitting for a long time. Anyway, here is my problem that popped up yesterday. When I depress the brakes a light comes on in the dash instrument panel (on the gas and temperature gauge area.) The red light 2nd from right appears, but only when I depress the brakes and disappears as soon as I release. I don't understand the symbol. It best described as a headlight with the line representing light rays. What does this mean and what do I need to do if you know.

Have someone check your brake lights when you press the brake pedal.

True, but not in the way he described it.

One of the things I like to do when I get a new (used) car is replace all of the bulbs in the tail lights as well as the turn signals. Keep the working bulbs as spares.
