just installed SBD kit... dont have the TCU wire on yet... but i noticed a quicker start up, louder radio, my intelligant key is noticed quicker (usually a noticable delay before it lets you start the car without the key), a quicker rev, VDC kicks in later and goes away quicker, nicer idle, drive by wire gas pedal not as delayed

basicly everything electronic in the car respones a little quicker, which was my only complaint about the car... especially having the intelligant key with its noticable delay

(excuse my spelling)

A hybrid Altima? No. I don't see to many of those around here. I'd need to find one to see how it's grounded. I'd think that Nissan would ground them pretty well considering how much juice is being pushed through it.

Kareem,

Thanks for the review. I'm glad to see that there hasn't been one G customer that's unhappy or had poor results. Get that TCU wire on and reconnect the ECU better and I think you'll like the results even more.

Got the TCU wire installed, but i couldnt get to the VIN plate location you refered to in your install... its on the right side of the transmission. But on the g35x the right side is crowded with the front drive shaft assembly... so i found a point on the left side of the transmisson. shifting is now smoother... low speed shifts especially.... and the car dosent over rev 3rd gear in auto mode any more. Thanks for a great kit. here are the pics

No, still waiting on a test vehicle to verify fitment. The G,Z,FX, and M all share a very similar platform, so the kits will all be similar, but I don't do generic kits. Each is made to order.

Probably 2-3 hours.

Is it manual or auto? If you can locate the TCM and ECM, the process will be a lot faster.

I'll have to do some research to see how the recharge circuit is set up. If there is a voltage/current regulator in-line, I will be VERY reluctant to make anything for you to modify it.

Hi,

I'm working on a 4th gen Maxima/I30 kit, but no one in the Max/I30 forum wants to be a test vehicle. I'm not sure why. Blehmco seems to be a really good company. Back in the day when I had my I30 (96), I was going to buy a kit from Blehmco. Now I make the kits. Go figure!

I will say that my kits are higher quality than Blehmco's. Again, it seems like a great little company, I just strive for super high quality. Mediocre doesn't cut it for me.

I think he uses aluminum terminals which just kind of negates using copper wire
I asked the following questions before purchasing the Grounding Kit from BlehmCo for my 1999 Infiniti I30 Limited:

1) Are the Lugs/Terminals Solid Copper or Gold-plated?2) How many ground points and how many wires are in the kit for my car?3) Does this kit include Transmission and ECU grounding?4) Are there any modifications required to fit this kit on my car?

According to Matt Blehm from BlehmCo:

1) lugs are tinned solid copper. best quality you can buy. none of that made in china crap.2) There are 4 wires in your kit, which cover every major engine sensor and the alternator. Since it grounds on the block very near the transmission and on all of the sensor grounds, that answers:3) Yes, those two points are indirectly covered by the placement of the wires.4) No modifications required. Simply remove a few bolts on the car, clean the connections, and install the wires supplied in the kit. If you have a stock air intake on your '99 I30 (which under the hood is 100% identical to a 99 Maxima, so the kit is exactly the same for both cars), it will make it easier to install if you remove the intake, but is not absolutely necessary. Time factor is about the same to leave it in and work around or to remove the intake and install the wires easier.

I went ahead and purchased the BlehmCo Kit and installed it in my car per the instructions provided. The truth is that I noticed absolutely no difference whatsoever.

Have you fabricated a Grounding Kit for the 4th Gen Maxima/I30 yet?

I'm sorry. I feel really bad because I backed them up.

First off, did you have a sluggish tranny to begin with? Second, if you wouldn't mind emailing me a picture or two of the kit installed, that would help me understand what they offer.

I haven't designed anything for the A32 (95-99 Max/I30) yet, because finding test vehicles is near impossible. I think Kenny has one. I'll see if I can steal his for a couple of hours.

Hey Sentientbydesign:

Thanks for designing and providing such a great kit. I just wonder that have you designed a premium ground kit package for 03 FX35 AWD?? If you do, can you please give me a quote including shipping cost (I live in Vancouver, Canada, V5G3Y4) and payment method (paypal preferred).

Please forgive my low number of posts.

Thanks

I do have a kit for the FX35 AWD. I'm kind of surprised that there aren't more FX owners jumping on this. I should also be testing an FX50 in the near future.

The FX35 Kit is usually $120 shipped (US). Canada is usually $10 more for the extra shipping. So $130 via paypal. It usually takes about 10 days to there. I can do some sort of expedited shipping if you'd like, but the cost is really high.

That's a very good price.I just wonder what the Stillen upgrade kit you have mentioned in the first thread. I am probably getting a Stillent short ram intake. Do I need the upgrade kit? Also what colors are available? Please give me your paypal email. If you dont' like to post it on the board, let me know. I will give you my email and you and mail the info over.

Thanks,

Replied to your email. The Stillen upgrade kit will probably be removed as an option. Those who have purchased the Stillen grounding wires are not happy with the product and need to come talk to me about getting them a proper grounding kit.

I have gunmetal gray available and blue should be here next week. I also have a small amount of red if you wanted to do a multicolored kit.
