Roll both of them all the way down holding the button down then all the way up and hold it for a few seconds. This happens when you disconnect the battery

you don't need to go to the dealer... you need to read your freaking car manual ... this information is in the manual, along with the answers to other common questions you'll probably end up asking if you don't read your car manual

Easy easy guys, I always thought that was the purpose of these forums... to find a quick answer to a problem. I didn't know it would be such a inconvenience for somebody to read a couple lines and maybe help a guy out. You might have a lot of extra time on your hands to read manuals and all that, but I don't. I'm thankful not everybody feels the same way you guys do, I had a answer within minutes from somebody who doesn't sweat the small stuff. Sorry if I offend anyone. back at ya

While we're talking about it, can anyone tell me why my auto up feature isn't working... I disconnected the battery to put a bike in the trunk and now they won't go back up...

Just kidding. I don't get worked up on these threads, I think the people posting them should search around a little bit more but that's all.

or... you guessed it... read the car manual... it seems as though independent research is a lost art these days and folks try to find the easiest way to get answers...

if someone says, hey guys, I've searched and tried, but I can't figure this out... that's one thing... but all I read when I see these threads is...

hey guys, I'm too lazy to read my car manual, or use the search button, so can one of you help my lazy a$$ out by giving me the answer... thanks... oh, and if you guys don't help me out, i'll just pay Nissan the $100 diagnostic fee to have them reset it and then tell me... hey, we figured out the problem and fixed it for you... if you have this issue again, just bring it back and we'll fix it up for you again... for another $100...

I mean seriously, just read, forget about NICO, because everyone doesn't know about NICO and that's not their fault... but come on... its in the car manual....

You know, maybe I'm crazy... maybe i'm the wierd one for actually reading the manual when I buy things (electronics, desks, car parts, CARS) ... if so let me know...

and honestly, it has nothing to do with the fact that there have been at LEAST 10 threads on this in the past, because everyone hasn't been here for two or more years and doesn't kow the history... and everyone may not actually see the GIANT RED BUTTON at the top the says search... I'll buy that...

but this is about not taking any kind of initiative at all and just asking other people to solve things for you... THAT, my friend is what I just don't fundamentally understand... that's it...

i spoke with Greg (CEO of NICO) once and he told me he sometimes thinks of himself as the old guy yelling at the kids to "get off his lawn" ... that's kind of how I feel sometimes... but not to get off my lawn (i.e. leave NICO because people are what make NICO) but just use the tools that folks have provided, and then, after taking initiative, ask all the questions you want, but show me you tried... that's it... i'll go back and sit on my porch with the rest of the grumpy old men...

i mean, we have this posted in the giant thread that says "READ HERE FIRST" for all new members, and we still get these types of questions asked... what more can you do... maybe we should set up somethign so that every new member MUST read that page before they are allowed to post on NICO... that would prevent a lot of unnecessary and redundant x 50 threads! ok, I'm off my

Moderators, I know you guys are reading this and are like... there's the DOC, at it again... but seriously, is there some kind of way that you all could require everyone to at least look at this page http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/349912

before they can post on NICO? That way, my rants will be 100% justified...

Ha Ha Ha !!!! LOL this thread is too funny, I was just logging on to search for this very same question, since I know I've seen it asked several times in the past couple of months. I did the search anyway, searched "windows" in the a/c forum and got back at least 5 different threads on the windows won't go up.Doc is right. Use the search button. Jp

JP, you blew it, you should have asked the question again, heck we could have kept these guys going on and on for months about the importance of doing a search. LOL.... All kidding aside... I get the message everyone... I JPA66 PROMISE TO DO A SEARCH NEXT TIME.

bruh, you just won me over... most people will read something like this, and get all pissy, and want to argue back and forth... you're new to the NICo family, and will learn the various personalities with time.... suffice to say, there is more valuable information on NICO than any other site regarding the altima coupe...

if you have any questions about your car, search for the answer here, if you can't find it, then ask questions... chances are, somebody here has the answer... guys on this forum have more accumulated knowledge about the A/C than most of the guys at the dealership... true story...

so forget about the long rant, that's the lecture I give to all newbies that don't use the search button, but seriously... almost all the answers to questions you have are here.. either in the form of a thread, or in the minds of the members... welcome to NICO and enjoy your new car...

thanks again for being a good sport buddy

Excellent rant taken well by a noobie

Robert, I'm not so sure about integrating that into the signup process. I'll mention it though and see what comes up.

I read my manual front to back the day after I got my car, leaving my gf at the time sitting in my room waiting for me to come back

We were at dinner last night, and had this exact conversation of how annoying questions like this get. When if all you do is read, or use the SEARCH button, all your answers would be there
