You could pull door panel and clean and re-lube regulator ,brakleen first ,then I spray dry lube first then cover the track & wire with white Lithium grease . I replaced a skipping motor ( gears bad ), and from Rockauto $13 motor . I found that the window was slightly slower with that Cardone re-man part. My track had 25 year old caked white lith grease is why I did all the clean & lube.
So , an old dirty regulator CAN slow down the window AND overload the motor , eventually ruining it . BUT the replacement motor can have it's " natural " speed be different , happened to me . Not too much slower.
Getting in there and servicing the regulator MAY allow the motor to work faster , and maybe no need for a new motor . You leave panel off until your satisfied of integrity of motor and regulator track.
I feel it's done right when window action is immediate , steady and has no 'sticking' spots , ya know.
