i have an 88 300zx with a ps leak. first it was the high pressure line. as i was replacing this i noticed a second leak coming from the steering rack housing. realized it was the (o-ring) or (oil-ring). as i removed the steering arm or joint i noticed i needed a special tool to remove the rear housing lock nut and rear housing cover. i need to know if i can use another method of removal or have to use these tools and if so where can i find or purchase them?http://s930.photobucket.com/albums/ad14 ... age001.png

You can pick them up at your local hardware store. There pretty cheap.

before you tear the rack apart, are you running dextron type atf and not regular power steering fluid? these call for dextron type atf, regular ps is too thin and leaks out, simply running the correct fluid might resolve your issue, and if you are runnign the correct fluid, B&M trick shift is a bit thicker and can help to slow the leak
