So I just bought a Z32, heres the post with the info about the car

2nd-owner-of-a-1990-twin-turbo-z32-t599549.html

Well it was working great and everything else about it is still very sound. However about two days ago I noticed the HICAS light was on when I started the car but would eventually shut off after driving for a while. Searched for info online about it, and was pointed at the power steering fluid. Checked it and it was definitely low. Put some more ATF fluid into it and the HICAS light turned off. However I found a nice little drip trail leading to where I parked the car when I got home. I looked underneath and found a decent amount of fluid and some drips coming off the steering rack. I hope it's just a leaky line or a broken gasket, which would make sense because the car did sit for a while before I bought it. The last owner started it up occasionally, but I don't think he really drove it around too much.

I'm going to try to jack it up and get underneath it in the next couple of days to inspect, I'm just wondering what else I should look for with that system, I know little to nothing about the HICAS system. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The high pressure hose is the most common point of failure, the copper washers nissan uses are not a standard size and your best bet is to order nissan copper washers. the low pressure hose is cheap and might as well replace while you are at it.

Is it the hose itself thats common, or the washers? I'm gonna be able to get it on a lift tomorrow and take a better look at it.

So I was doing a little research on some parts from conceptzperformance. I found this a little interesting?

OEM Twin Turbo High Pressure Hose
https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/de ... hp?II=2386

$300

However this one
AMS Kevlar High Pressure Hose
https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/de ... p?II=10070

$118

So I'm wondering, why does the better part cost less? Is there any disadvantages or things that I'm just plain missing by going with the AMS Kevlar hose? I mean, if not its kind of a no brainer, better part, 1/3 of the cost, right?

It's not uncommon for aftermarket parts to cost less than the standard OE replacements.
