pop ups go down but not up? help!

hey guys,

usually i in the KA-t forums helping ppl there, but im not too savy on wiring/electronics..

heres the issue

When i turn ON my lights, my passenger side popup goes up but NOT my drivers side. i have to manually turn the knob to pop it up and it the lights turn on. then when i turn my lights OFF. they will both go down

If i turn my lights ON, my passenger side will come up and turn on, BUT if i dont raise my driver sides light, when i turn my lights OFF, the passenger side stays up.

If i raise both, and hit the light pop up button, when i turn off my lights, they both stay up.

and last but not least, when i use my far lights, only my driver's side goes on, and my passenger far light doesnt work. (I have put in completely new lights on both sides. but my low beams work on both sides

What might be wrong and how can i fix this? Thanks in advance!

that's a pretty common problem, that's also associated with one highbeam working and the other not working or turning off...

its most likely the headlight switch itself.

about the light not going up, probably burnt up motor. as far as the brights not working, sometimes the ground goes bad on the harness and needs re-established. That's why you see some cars with a bright light and a dim one, bad ground. give it a try, might fix your pop up problem
