Thank you. Yes, that is an excellent resource. I have had that FSM for quite some time and refer to it often. However, it only gives arrows from the solenoid that say "to evap purge valve" and that could be the one on the canister, or that thing in the picture that I found on the driver side right above the wheel well- it splits off into a T valve. It seems to be the only thing on the entire evap system that has a wire harness- except for the solenoid. Is that valve on the canister removable? I tried, and it didn't want to move and I don't want to beak it. Could not even be near where the trouble is... Ideas?

I have reason to believe this is a pressure sensor... ? And that the purge valve is on top of the canister.

Yes, many times I have tried to compare the part listed above. The "purge valve c" is the one right on top of the canister. The part listed above is indeed the vac pressure sensor. I strongly believe that is what sensed the purge fault- and sent the code. There was a bit of crud in the solenoid that controls that valve. Its located just behind the canister on the engine. There should be airflow between the two valves closest to each other with battery power. I applied power and could hear it actuate. There was a clearly restricted flow while blowing in there. I replaced the solenoid, and the hoses that lead to and from it. Several complete "OBD trips" and no light or pending codes- after 4 scans still clean. I am confident this fix will work for most of these codes. I hope this can help someone, good luck, as there is little to no information about this code for any vehicle, much less the J.

Shine On.
