^Grab another one. You WILL need it!

Anyways:As stated before, in "ILikeMy240sx's" write-up on timing chain for the DOHC found here, zer...age=1, maybe I didn't see it but the timing chain guides, should I remove them or replace them. I've got that rattle-can/marble in the can sound coming from the front of the head/valve cover, so I just want to be sure I can safely remove them or do i need to replace them.

Looks good. IMO though- the headlights need to be lowered more. Intead of sleepy eye- it looks more like your car has a buzz going on. LOL Hey-but if you like it who cares.

Wheel Gap with busted shock:

Cracked dash (should be easy to fix)

Rust!

F'd up front end

Front end wacked up!

Another taillight pic

The 37" HDTV in taking back to walmart. I need a smaller tv otherwise I would keep this one!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures, more to come. This will be an on going thread. Once I get FULL FORCE into it, I'll start a build thread. Stay tuned, A LOT more to come!

Thanks for looking!

Its been in more than 1 accident. At one point, the Driver Fender and Door as well as hood were replaced with red counterparts. So yes it has been repainted but back to the original black!

As for the drifting thing... probably. The previous owner was 17. He said he ran into a "fence" He also has a hella clean Supra. I'll take a picture of it sometime and post it.

Thanks Asmar!

So yeah. Changed my brakes today. One of my pads were so used it was down to the bare metal. Put some grooves in the rotors, but nothing major. I'll replace the rotors next week maybe.

Ordered my catalytic converter today as well. Should be here within a week. Then Im gonna order a cat-back exhaust. I also spotted a Japanese climate control that I might buy. I also am thinking of getting clear turn signals.

I also ordered a valve cover gasket and spark plug gasket from o'reilys so today (Wed) I'm picking them up and pulling the valve cover off. Then I'm gonna sand, primer, and paint the cover. I'm also going to check the timing chain guides. They seem to be a bit too noisy lately.

OK, well thats all the update for now. I will be on later today to give an update.

How do you plan on fixing the dash? I have a dash with a similar crack in it sitting in my garage, I replaced it with a crackless one. I'd like to beable to fix the one I have.

OK! So update as of 3/26/08:

Changed my brakes 2 days ago... The pads were bad so I had to take pictures of them. If you look the first picture shows the passanger rear and how little material is left on the pad. The second picture shows both pads from the passenger rear and the lower pad has actually been worn down to the metal! Ouch! Time for some new rotors!

Yesterday I decided to go ahead and replace the valve cover gaskets cause the seals were leaking oil. I pulled the cover off and removed the old, hard, worn out gaskets and installed brand new, stretchy, flexable ones! No more leaks! While the cover was off, I decided to sand, prime, and paint the cover. The color I used it the color I think I will eventually do the whole car in! Hope you enjoy!

Well thats it. My catalytic converter has been ordered and should be here within a week. And I also recovered the radio mounting brackets from the guy I bought the 240 from, so that saved me $10-30.

Im now on the look out for some shocks/struts and lowering springs...(+1.75 inch drop) If you got some and want to let them go, shoot me a price!

If I do anymore work on the car until I get the cat, I'll post. Otherwise later!

cause not everyone in the world "jus" needs coils, despite populr belief. / Im not dragging/auto x'ing/drifting this car. Im lowering it for the sake of lowing it, thats it. Im going for a build with an equal amount of style and performance.

I removed two timing chain guides on my KA24DE and it seems to run fine. I removed the one at the top and the one at the top right, both had really deep etch marks in them from the chain hitting them. That's how I knew they had to go, I just did a visual inspection. Also, don't forget to lube up the tensioners while your in there and break them free if they're stuck.

I lowered my last car 2.2 with some sportlines and it just wasnt enough for me, after about a week i wanted it lower. If you have the cash id recomend some coils just because they can go alot lower if desired. just my .02

good luck on the build...

Yesterday I replaced my fuel filter.

The story behind this is... I went back to the dude I bought the 240 from cause he left his spare keys to his supra in my car and he kept the radio mounting brackets when he pulled his deck. So I go over to his house and give him his key and he gives me the brackets with the little tray that goes underneath. He ALSO gives me brake pads, mind you the day AFTER I change my brakes. They are the same as the ones I used so Im going to grab my receipt and take them back to AutoZone for a refund.

Anyways, we get to talking about Nissan and Toyota, and talking to him about what I've done to his old car so far. We then proceed to under the hood and I remembered I needed to ask him about the fuel filter. In the 5 years his family owned the car, they didn't bother replacing it. Not that big of a deal... sort of.

Fast forward back to yesterday. I pull the old filter out and see that the gas that is coming out of it is a bit dark. So I cap off the ends and grab a dr pepper 20oz bottle, rinse it out, then let the gas drain into it from the filter. The gas is almost black... WTF!?!? About an hour later, the dirt settles to the bottom and Im left with a liquid sort of resembling gas. All of the dirt separated and fell to the bottom. The amount of dirt in the bottle indicated to me that the filter has not been changed for a VERY long time

Now I already know that the previous owner didn't take the best of care with my baby, but now Im wondering about the previous owners... I think once I get all the fluids and what not changed, Im going to buy a blown motor and rebuild it then swap it in.

Oh, the guy also gave me a carfax report of the car... She is a whore! First sold in NY then went to TX, then PA, then MO, then Kansas... And there have been two owners here in KS, i just wonder exactly how many people have farted in the seat I now sit in It really doesnt matter to me how many people have owned her, I own her NOW and thats what matters... The only thing is it only shows 2 owners Oh, and you can clearly see that the car has been in more than 1 accident, but the report doesnt show it being in any. Makes me question the accuracy of CarFax....

OK, thats it. Thanks for reading!

OK, after much debate I picked a color for my car. It was a toss up between deep metallic blue or a deep jewel green.

Deep Jewel Green won. I've had a deep metallic blue car before and LOVED it, but now I want to see what the green will look like.
