It took me an neighbor 2half hrs to pull ..... Seems like car is not breathing well ... Intake an Plenum was full of black Crud.. I put this at the end of another post.. Never Got any hits ... Sorry for re-post but this is really where it should go.. Does any one know what may be causing all this build up in the plenum an intake..?? Maybe the Catalytic Converters are clogged up?? Some one has to have some opinions please leave any comments... Thank you!!

What ever this tube does it was almost fully clogged up..!! Do ya fellas think that this may of been the problem with my Z not having any power?? ...

Next I am gonna take CAS off an plug coils in an injectors an turn to listen for action in the units..

I have a ohm meter but I have no idea how to set it .. So far the only reading I have got is it goes from .1 to .0..

That is relatively normal if the Z has higher mileage. It is typically a result clogged pcv's and egr. The tube you reference is one side of the egr. Someone has been in there before based on the rtv sealer on the egr tube.

Clean out the upper plenum the best you can, replace the pcv's and hoses. You either need to clean the egr tubes or delete it.

Yea thanks ... But do ya think that the tube being fully clogged would keep the Z from having any throttle response or power???

No, it would not be related.

EGR is emissions related. It does nothing for power, throttle response, etc.

Check your spark plugs. Take a picture of any very dark, broken or white spark plugs. Post them up, its a good way to narrow down any issues.

I just pulled my Injectors an the Plastic surrounding the Spray tip is broken an cracked... Really dirty... The plastic is just a cover huh??

I have pulled all coil wires an everyone was firing... The Z just seems like it has no Fuel pump/Air flow/Fuel pressure/ the converters are clogged or something like that.....

Left bank...

Right bank...

When ya say EGR has nothing to do with power I understand because usually they say lack of power is usually electrical... The two tubes that are on the bottom of both sides of the Plenum tho.. Wouldn't ya think that they would provide Vacuum an make a drawl .... THE POOR LIL Z JUST FEELS LIKE ITS STARVING FOR SUMTIN... SUCKS..

I don't have a fuel pressure gauge but when I had the line unplugged once the gas just bairly came out while i was cranking the Z... I am gonna put my fuel pump from my old Z in an also pressure Reg.. I had just bought b4 it blew motor...

Thanks for your advice buddy..!!

It should squirt out if there still gas in the tank/lines. Its supposed to be pretty highly pressurized.
