I have a Ka24de. Dead stock internals. The motor has lots of miles. It sat for a few months before i got it put back on the road. When I put it back on the road it broke a belt. IT was the one closest to the motor. I got a belt and put it back on. Shortly after it developed a miss fire(not sure if they are related). The cylinder gets spark and the plug is getting fuel. It has some compression( i tryed to fire it with out the plug in it and it spit some air). It smokes, not super bad. The smoke is kind of white if I recall. Please help. Whats the cheapest way to figure this out.

If it will run:Put fresh fuel in the tank along with some injector cleaner. See if that clears the problem.

The smoke is an issue. Are you sure it is white (head gasket) or is it light blue? (oil burning valve seals or rings etc.)

It could also be gray to black (unburned fuel.)

I would recomend either a leakdown test or a compresion test.
