Ok I now retract all previous Statements due to the new information I have received while talking to 110octane. I do apologize for any anger that I have cost anyone for my dumb mistake of not knowing certain things. I have now Learned that My car is and can not be VIP but intern is actually pursuing the Auto Lux Side of the automotive industry. So my bad

yeah, its not an OG platform

ive seen Mercedes in VIPcar, doesnt mean its VIP

VIp mags showcase ALL things VIP style, which includes VIP cars.

I mean, honestly, i could care less for the most part. But knowing how many 240 owners say their 500.00 cars are VIP i want to make sure you guys realize what this really is.BUT, yes the 240 that falken advertises IS VIP style.i will not debate thatbut VIP...no
jltibbs wrote:BTW, Grant, do I need to remove the Fuga from the list? I have seen these in VIPcar before. Just figured I would ask so we have the accurate platforms listed.

jltibbs wrote:Alright, so we have determined that a few platforms are considered VIP in Japan. Thus anything else will be considered 'VIP style'. This is no different than when people put body kits on Neons (no offense to anyone who has done so) to look like the 'Fast and Furious'. There are many different styles out there and they all have general guidelines. The sad fact is that even with those 'general guidelines' things change. I'm sure Grant can post up some pics of the real old school VIP stuff. I'm guessing that the styling from then was called 'bozo something or other'. That stuff is way out of what I consider VIP, but once again, I am not a decision maker on what is or is not VIP.

Let's keep this grown up in here guys. No reason for going back and forth about this stuff. Great info from all around and Grant has great 'constructive criticsm'. Keep on postin' up guys!
BOZO or Yankee style is a completely different style.just google CimaCedricGloriaCelsiorCrownMajestaAristo

on google.co.jp image search and you will see what they are

MY personaly Y33 was styled after VIp cars of the early 90s. Crazy camber, super wide wheels, boxy aero kits.

I LOVE the bozo style pipes, kinda like what you have on yours Grant. I really would like to do that with the dual pipes out both sides.

Ok, now that's a little too much. It has a friggin diving board on the front and dual victory pipes on the back that look like stacks. I guess someone liked it though. Plus, it's a Toyota. Fail.

Well, there's your answer. Do not let it discourage you though. you can still do the VIP style, which will be clean IMO. Do it to it bro!

A lot of us around here are gaining useful knowledge here. A lot of people around here don't care one bit about VIP. Oh well, I love it. Glad we could help you have a better understanding!

Honestly this isn't the place to learn about vip style. Believe it or not Grant is NOT the creator of VIP and what he says should be taken lightly since the whole premise of VIP is personal style. If you want to learn a broader aspect of VIP Style go to vipstylecars.com and just look around at peoples different styles and create your own based on the standard.

but we could make it a place to learn about VIP style... this thread is just to show what INFINITI or NISSAN cars make it into the "VIP" list of cars... i think that you could probably "STYLE" any luxury car in the "VIP" manner but that doesnt necessarily mean that the car is now considered "VIP" because its "styled" after the true "VIP" listed cars... cars that were specifically used by "YAKUZA" or mafia affiliated peoples in the land of the rising sun!!!

all in all... i think that "VIP" and "VIP_STYLE" are two different genres

baisically there are leaders ...and then as usual the followers "posers"

I agree with you to an extent on that; that was the whole reason I asked to start this forum. I know that VSC has lots of info. I am a member over there, but I felt we could gain info here and maybe have a place for our members instead of them going there and staying.

That's what I was going to say.Unfortunately it is pretty strict to what platforms are considered True VIP Platforms. There really isn't any if and's or but's about it. Believe what you want but proper searching will prove that to you. Ther eis no need to be offended or upset about it. No one says you can't style your vehicle to a VIP taste but it just is not considered a true VIP platform.

It does get annoying sometimes having people ask about which platform is right. I guess it would not bother me as much except for the fact that when you mention that its not the right one and that it can only be VIP style or Auto Lux style, they get all upset about it. Oh well, at least we are here to provide the info that we can when asked.

Exactly my point. People get a bent out of shape because they can't fit in. Just buy the right platform and you have nothing to worry about except styling. If you can't deal with that then find another hobby.
