piping size

getting a custom cat back made, trying to find the right size. im trying to get a deep tone and less raspy(borla). having a hard time choosing between 2.25 / 2.5 / 3 inch piping.

2.5" would be good for the 3.5 coupe and 2.25 would be good for the 2.5 coupe.

3" is overkill if you aren't going turbo. I mean 2.25 would still be good for the 3.5 with a y-pipe also but if anything I say 2.5
