hmm, guess you can't tell what motor is in that truck.....

its the import intelligence "truckzilla" and that's matt sliding the truck for the first time... needs a lot more work before it slides as well as the drift truck, but its awesome with no more ka24e and a rb25det in its place. and im pretty sure its a gt32r or 35r topmount and will be rollin with 3 bov's. lol, it should be pretty bas *** when its done. matt will take it to some events when its done too

i love my ls1. ive had very minimal issues with it and anything that i have had to fix is relatively cheap and i can get at autozone.

its a blast to drive, i make tons of power and theres more aftermarket support for this engine than any engine ever.

the only downside is it took me a while to relearn how to drive the car (solid 5-6 events) and it costs a ****load to do the swap.

thats my main concern.... i love the way my car drives now and dont want to change the way it drives and drift. but yeah, gotta love available parts at any auto store

its not really the way it drives, its the technique required to drive it.

the motor physically weighs less than a stock KA, so if anything my car is more balanced now than it was with the RB but the biggest thing to overcome was all the torque and the weight of the rotating assembly.

i know that sounds really strange, but its INSTANT throttle response. there is NO lag obviously so as soon as you press the gas you get an immediate response in the cars position and wheels spinning lol. thats GREAT once you figure it out but coming from only having drifted relatively small displacement turbo cars its a bit of a shock. and when you let off the gas while drifting, everything keeps spinning because its all so heavy (stock flywheel weighs 45lbs for example) so you have to really think ahead (a good thing).

its nothing that cant be easily learned if you know how to drive but it does require some time behind the wheel to figure it out. now that its been in for 6ish months now im tandeming and driving better than i EVER did with my RB. makes me wish i could go back in time to FD proam last fall and do it again. that was my 3rd event with the new motor and i drove it totally differently than i do now (i have about 8 or 10 events with it now)

hmm, well the rhd s13 is his roomate's now. he has his personal s13.5, and i think the truck might be more a "shop car." and his wife was driving a g20 last i saw.

back to the ls1, its very interesting and i like the instant throttle response but at the same time i think i like the turbo lag, i guess i like the feeling of the car gaining more power as the turbo spools. probably not better for drifting... but i like it and its fun. and thats the only reason i drift, its the funnest thing ive ever done. i dont even compete, ive only done demos and practice sessions... oh and having a free track 10 min from my apt helps. but i will def enter comps in the future to keep things interesting

I guess I'll chime in with my car. Most of the stickers are gone now, they were put on to help get my freinds graphics shop get some exposure.
