It's cool. Take pics if you get the chance. If not, no worries. I still think I can work around that.

BTW, I'd say on the wheels that they need to stay like they are. Trying to keep tires the same color as the lip is almost impossible.

front end r&r. needs a couple tweaks here and there, then the brackets eventually (i want to show it somewhere before the cutting/welding). i will throw on the hood when i get a second pair of hand.

pics suck. s**tty camera, low light, and little space.

I can deal with that easily. I think it will work out perfectly. I'm willing to trade you so you will have piece to put back on the trunk. Up to you. You can ship that with the wheels. :)

I forgot that this part of the forum was here. Nice work on the conversion :dblthumb:. You make it look too easy. I love Carlsson wheels. I thought they were for MB only. Are yours the same bolt pattern as the Q?

the first mesh style wheels are impul r1. 17x8/9 +32/38 iirc.
the second dish style wheels are carlsson 1/12. 19x8.5/10 +40/45.
neither are easy to come by.

I've seen that president conversion on a couple sites. Is it a direct bolt on? Does it look funky?

all the sheet metal bolts on more or less sice it is the same chassis. externaly, everything lines up perfectly. however, to do it "right" you also need underlying parts like fender risers, the hood latch bracket, and headlights brackets which have to be transfered and welded.
