Yes those spiffy Douglas tires were just put on the car last year before I bought it. I don’t like the looks of them but again found OEM tires impossible to find. Found some other major brands I liked but after dumping so many thousands of dollars in other mechanical repair I decided to just keep these cheapo tires on for the time being. As for he tires dressing so far I’m very happy and between the very limited driving of this car I do and it never sees rain or snow I feel it may last forever as they claim. Hope you figure out your cooling problem. I do notice that this car gets up to operating temperature in minutes compared to my four other cars that take much, much longer.

Try flushing your cooling system using Thermocure - not sure if it will remove the Stopleak stuff but it works wonders at cleaning out rust and scale.

Those spiffy Douglas tires were put on the car about a month before I bought it last year. It was my intention to replace them with OEM tires but they are no longer available. So after investing a fortune on the mechanical and repairing some rust and other cosmetic repairs I figured I’ll deal with these tires for a while. I have noticed this Q’s temp gage gets to it normal operating temperature in literally a few minutes where my other four cars take much, much longer to reach that point. I have no overheating issues and I do have a new thermostat, water pump and of course coolant after replacing the engine Good luck on getting yours corrected. This is the best place for solid advice I feel.
