That crank mark is wrong, the gold link needs to be on the bottom, there should be like these silverish links that go at like 10 and 12 I think, something close to that. Give the crank pulley a few more turn, and back at the 2nd to left mark like you have it, and reinsert the CAS.

It looks like you're right. #39 & #48 right? Here is a link to a pinout for your ecu.

So there should be a link at each dot on the cam gear?

Seems like your links are gone as well. Some people silver links go away after time. It looks good as it is right in your pictures. Although you might have to retime it again when it comes time to start it up. I would try it like that though.

lookin good man.just about ready to fire my blacktop up.i too delt with engine depot.i had a good experience though.jay helped me out a lot.the guy that showed me the motor (little guy named z) was very helpful as well.he too told me the one i got was the last one and by far the cleanest most complete motor they had. mine came with full blacktop harness with fuse box included. ignitor, maf sensor (they gave me the wrong one though) and shifter was included as well as e5 ecu. can i ask...how much you paid for your motor??

Sometimes, even though you set it up like the FSM says. Some people go off by 180 degree's which means you just have to rotate the crankshaft pulley again until you hit TDC again.

i paid $2100 for mine they didnt charge me tax bc i came with cash. I tried to talk them down on the price but they wouldnt budget. They didnt have an ignitor or shifter for my motor, and i got the transmission harness but only the starter and alternator connections are there the ones for the gears arent there. I called some other spots but they were all out of blacktops and werent gettin any until 3-4 weeks from then. How much u pay for yours??

aight im tryin to crank my motor over..i have my battery relocated to the back.. so theres a circuit breaker in between the starter wire and the positive going to the battery..but the harness on the sr has two power wires comin from the alternator and starter wtf? theres also a ground wire that i grounded to the chasis..and then theres 2 plugs. I tried connecting the two plugs to the plugs on the fuse box but they dont seem to fit any. Now i hooked up the starter wire and alt wire to one side of the circuit breaker and the wire for the positive to the battery on the other. When i close the circuit im gettin power without the key even in?? can someone help me out?heres the starter alt wires...heres the wires from the fuse box that arent connected to anything..this plug i have grounded to the chasis but i dont kno what it plugs into..ooh the rope not dope bracelet reps my little sister double dutch team. lolok i jus read the part two to the frsport wiring guide and it says that the black/white wire is a 12v constant, im goin to check and make sure i didnt splice into that..but the thing is i dont even have my ecu hooked up right now..

youre harness is a little wack man. 1st. Top pic bad angle cant really see the plugs. 2nd pic some look to be male connectors which is weird because all the harness I have worked on, have female connectors , but ill give it a try. brown plug on top I don't know whats that for I never use it, it always has some little cap covering it. Grey plugs, left one looks like the idle valve plug, middle plug looks like the plug for the coil pack harness, right plug looks like the plug for the knock sensor. 3rd pick could be 2 things, if it has a black and brown wires on it it is the power steering plug ( the one on the pressure line ), if it has brown/black and brown wires its going to be the plug for stock boost solenoid. Check does things to see if they are connected

those type of plugs coming from the fuse box?? I have the engine harness all hooked up. the 1st pic is the lower harness that connects to the starter and alternator..and the 2nd pic are plugs coming from the fuse box in the engine bay.. I already have the things you mentioned connected

^ hmm.try to cancel out all the stupid stuff first.like mess with the ebrake when car is on.then off.**** like that...im gonna check my clutch interlock relay.the guy that did my wiring (gio,of pride performance) said that if it doesnt start.check that first.so i just gotta get a multi meter and check the relay.hopefully its something simple like that.
