lol. my wife drives a infiniti qx56, i have a z so the versa is in my price range. plus I can do all the maintanence. oil changes have never been so easy. the altima is nice so is the maxima but i had a hard time finding a manual transmission. I got a great deal on my 07' versa sl and if i add bluetooth, intelikey to a altima or a maxima i could have brought 2 base model versa's. I thought another 2k- 3k to get it where i want to be (horsepower wise) would be nice.

The performance market for the versa isn't real big right now. Its only been on the market since 2007. You guys are comparing civics that have been around for years, and that have a TON of after market support to a versa. The versa is probably making around 100whp-ish stock. The only performance parts are CAI's, axle back exhaust, and prototype parts, and people are talking about making over 200hp already.

I see alot of potential in the versa once the after market support starts kicking up. Also, for the people that there car is under warranty, why would you want to risk voiding the warranty over a few extra HP? It just doesn't make any sense to me. But to each their own.

Dont get me wrong, i would love to see a serious versa build like ZPI did, and see some huge numbers with the MR18DE. But i think some of your guys ideas are getting some what ridiculous talking about motor swaps with a brand new car, that you are still making payments on. Call me old for worrying about voiding the factory warranty, but i want a reliable daily driver. I wont lie the versa is slow as ****, i would love to make it quicker... but that would be defeating the purpose of why i bought the car in the first place... I bought it as a daily driver cause my 200SX SE-R was getting to the point of a non daily driver with the mods i have been doing. Just remember why you all bought the versa in the first place for reliability and great gas milage.

Is that why I bought it? Thanks for letting me know. This whole time I thought that I bought it for its comfortable ride and low price. To think that I've been wrong all this time... It's a good thing that you're here to tell me what to think.

When you test drove the Versa did you think "this is a nice drive, its comfortable and roomy and drives like a larger car (a statement i've read in countless reviews), I think I'll buy it for the way it looks and drives." Or did you think "this is a nice car. all it needs is lowering, strut bars, low profile tires, CAI, catback exhaust, turbo, headers and a bored out motor." If you were thinking the second one then why would you buy it? Honestly, I just don't get it.

Well personally i'm not a fan of "stock" cars, I'd rather have a $15,000 economy car that i've put $10,000 into than a stock $25,000 car. Also it's REALLY REALLY hard to get a loan for a $25,000 car when you're 16. When i test drove my versa i thought to myself this is a fun little car... with a lot of potential

I'm in the process of swapping in a efi 350 from my K5 blazer into my Versa atm. Stock has 220hp 300 torque. Im prob gonna swap in the xfer case to make it full time all wheel drive also. I figure twin turbo would bring it to around 550 horses.
