Hello, I am new and was hoping i could get some answers to the Revup engines. I searched for this question but couldn't find anthing.
One other item i read was when your car was built with the Revup engine ? I believe i also read there were problems with these engines built from 1/06 to 5/06. My car was
built in 4/06, which falls in the range of the Vin #'s listed.
My 06 G35 6mt coupe i purchased new in 06,recently failed the O.C. test. I started noticing oil usage around 1,000 miles. I put around 1,100 miles a year on the car and
use only Mobil 1 starting with its first oil change. My service tech and i discussed this and came to the conslusion to wait to put more miles on the engine to fully break it
in, before doing anything since the car was running fine. The only issue i had was the engine seemed tight reving up to 6-7000 rpm in first gear. I seen the TSB where engines were being replaced but now they want to only put the short block in . I waited to put more miles on the engine to give it a chance to break in. The O.C test failed around 5700miles. I noticed looking at other forums, Nissan was building new engines to replace out the problem ones. I read some engines even used different heads. Has anybody had any of these new engines put in their cars and if so, how do you feel it runs compared to the original engine ? I was hoping to get the part # on the crate of
the engine that was put in your car and could hopefully tell me what changes were done, like if it came with new heads. So far i have come across these part #'s. Which one of these or other part numbers is the best replacement engine without any oil consumption or minimized consumption? These are the Part #'s i have so far.
P/N 10102-AC7M9 , 1013-AC7M1. I thought i read another part # that the last item was an "A"
Are there anymore replacement engines, or do these outperform the old engine ? Not having one of these engines to directly compare to the old engines in my car now,
how would i know which is the stronger engine.

The only change i did to the car after the O.C test was replace the air intake tube with a stock one used in the 350z with a K&N air filter put in the airbox. What i noticed
felt like an engine that was now getting more air compared to the stock Infiniti air intake tube that felt like the engine was starving for air. This small mod at least in
my car made a noticeable difference, The MREV2 with 5/16" spacer and exhaust will be the other changes once the engine issues is resolved.

Thank you for any input,

millenium

We have a few techs that may know the part numbers...but I'm not sure. Hang tight and lets see if he replies.
