Anyone know of the proper alternatives? The bushings have been discontinued (tried ordering from Infinitipartsdeal, got refunded). I tried ordering some aftermarket Nissan Zs, didn’t fit according to mechanic. Annoying considering the description said it would fit:

At this point, the bushing is shot. Can’t find much in the way of alternatives except ordering from overseas. Could go with a salvage one if need be.

This comes after dealer quoted me $3,500 for a rear suspension overhaul to replace all links and bushings. f*** crazy. Now that the government has handed out “free” money, I think there should be a “safety act” where all Americans who have owned their vehicle for atleast 2 years, and is older than 10 years old, and needs expensive safety repairs, get $2,500-$5,000 to repair it lol. Because this is ridiculous. My suspension on both vehicles are completely shot, and I can’t afford to fix every single part.

I was thinking about running their arms/links since I'm having the same problem with my bushings

Yikes, can’t quite decipher that In Japanese, but it does look like perfect kit to redo the alignment specs.

Can’t open other link... but overall it does appear to be the right direction.

That’s similar to the ones I ordered, and they didn’t fit. Mechanic said he installed one and it was hitting the strut rod or something. I do see a slightly less curve in the Megans than in my current ones

Thanks guys.

Fortunately and unfortunately, I had to go with some used E bay ones. Actually looks good as new. I only got the side that was causing a 5 degree negative camber.

Fortunately it wasn’t the $2,000 that some crock in Arizona said I’d end up needing to spend last year. Surely if I replace the whole rear suspension that would be the case, but all I needed was 3 control arms on drivers rear. Already burned thru a tire and a wheel bearing, so I wasn’t going to waste anymore time not getting it fixed. All got on eBay for under $200 parts. Labor and alignments obviously add to it.

The sporty kits look nice, but I’m just not in the market to spend more than I need to on suspension parts. My main focus next is my rapidly deteriorating original paint. It was minor when I got it 2 years ago, but transferring it from the Arizona sun, to a hot humid and then snowy climate has wrecked havoc on it. No rust, just the clear coat is peeling in various places. So definitely not happy about having a busted paint job right now. Not really noticeable from afar, but I do.

Update:

Used control arm makes remarkably smoother ride and handling. However there’s also a bushing for the same arm on the wheel hub that also needs replacing. Found it on a site reasonably priced. Hell, I coulda ordered both those for $10 a piece.

Next up, compression rod bushings and or struts. Seems my OEM struts I brought a year ago are already going bad. But last inspection seemed to point to compression rod bushings.
