The brake light in the instrument panel keeps flickering on and off,so I disconnected the switch from the hand brake itself, but the light still flickers. Does any know where the wire for that dash light is? Does anyone have this problem?

Actually, if you are wanting to get to that wire, you might as well take out the bulb from that indicator. It's a lot easier and if you ever decide to get it fixed it would be much easier to put back together.

I would assume you were going to pull the gauges out to do this?

If that is the case just take the bulb out that is behind the parking brake engagement light..

Also, don't worry about leaving it without a bulb. You will notice that cars with super hicas and abs have the same gauge cluster as those that don't, they just don't put bulbs in those places.

Hope that helps

as demetrius stated, check your brake fluid level. It could be you need to change your brake pads, or you have a brake fluid leak.

When your brake light comes on, even if it's just a flicker, i wouldnt just disconnect it and consider the problem solved. These things are there for a purpose. Ignoring the light just puts your life in danger as well as everyone else on the road. If you want to understand how the car functions, buy a factory service manual.
