Hi - have been reading this forum for months - it helped me decide to get an Alti coupe.

I recently bought an 09 coupe I-4/ Silver / Black leather and I love it. Last night when pulling into my garage I scraped the right front bumper against the wallhttp://www.nicoclub.com/forums/thread-icons/mad.gif

All told, it's probably 11 (inches) by 7

When I woke up this morning, I used the touch-up pen to fix the major scratches. It looked ok in the garage but in daylight looks pretty bad.

Any suggestions on what to do? Don't really want to buy a new bumper.

Does Nissan sell paint in spray form (I think the paint code is k-12)?

Have also thought about putting a leather bra on the front...has anyone tried this?

Thanks!

WELCOME 2 The Club DAN!!

eewww, dont get the old school black bra! get the Clear vinyl stickers slapped on instead.

as for the scratch, man i had a bad run in with a cinderblock standing up! i never posted pics but its pretty bad.its on my driver side door a little and the skirt, almost ripped off the splash guard too. i used everything thats out there to fix it,even Billy Mays' "Simoniz Fix It" -but- its still a no-go! better off getting it repainted dude.

Thanks man.

I love this car, it just pains me to see it scratched...maybe I'll swing by a body shop and see what's what.

I'm also thinking about taking those rock-chip plastic/vinyl (?) pads off from behind the doors - the car's only a few months old but they're already going yellow...

Next stop - window tint.

Think it will damage the car at all to take them off?

nah it won't damage the paint. just apply some heat to it and it should be easy taking it offi wouldn't put anything on tho..cuz if u do put the sticker 1s on, after u take it off the color will look differentthe paint underneth the sticker will look newer than the part that's not covered. but u can fix that problem by polishing it with a polishing machine, wouldn't work by hand (only if u can rub it fast enuff =)

and for the bumper, get a repaint done. 2 options:if u don't want to spend too much money on the paint job, tell the body shop to paint it right on the car, with no R&Is (remove and install) just mask everything up. could save u some labour money approx 300+Body shop usually charge 70~90/hour for labour.orif u're a crazy car lover, do it the proper way, cost more, but better finishingapprox 450 ~500

all depends on the shop.
