Have '05 CrewCab 4x4 v6

Began to stall while driving. Restarted immediately. Checklight On
Several codes reported, including P1446

Replace Crankshaft position sensor
Replace Cannister Vent Solenoid

Check Light comes on the way home.
P1445
P0430

Erase meter, check light OFF

Check light OFF next morning.

Drive 12 mi. 2 lane country paved road, elevation change up ~500 ft. NO check light.
Park ~2 hrs.
Return home 12 mi. different route: dirt road section then four lane longer steady grade.
Turn onto our address road: Check Light comes On.

I've duplicated this scenario.

No stalling so far.

Suggestions and shared experience appreciated.

P1446 basically means a restriction, usually a dead vent solenoid. Here's what Identifix suggests (and I agree) since it didn't fix it:

1. Check the Evap control system pressure sensor voltage key on engine off to be about 2.9 volts, remove the gas cap and verify that the 2.9 is atmospheric pressure. Then test drive the vehicle and verify the Evap control system pressure sensor voltage is the same when coming back to a stop and idling as it was key on engine off.

2. If the pressure sensor voltage was lower than 2.9 volts, check for a restricted canister. If not, start at the vent solenoid and work forward removing EVAP hoses until the pressure sensor voltage goes up. When the voltage goes up, the restriction is found.

PS - The P0430 is a "dying cat" code for Bank2. If it returns, you'll need a new catalyst ASAP. The VQ40's (and most other Nissans) use a technique called Miller cycling to avoid or minimize the need for an EGR. To reduce NOx emissions, the ECM uses the cam phasers to close the exhaust valves late and open the intakes early, making the engine "re-inhale" a bit of the exhaust gas it just forced out. The drawback to Miller cycling is when a catalytic converter disintegrates. Debris gets sucked back through the exhaust valve into a cylinder. Cat debris is very abrasive, and badly-scored cylinder walls are the very least you can expect. Virtually all engines that suffer cat inhalation head straight to the JY.

PPS - It just occurred to me that an '05 probably doesn't have diagnostics for an open circuit on the evap solenoid, so if you don't find a plumbing issue, the P1446 could be an open wire or connector. The white wire at the valve should be key-on-hot through the ECM relay. If your scanner has work support, activate the valve and make sure there's near 0V on the green driver-wire from the ECM. Those wires run through 3 different harnesses to reach the back of truck, and I recall one case of this where the culprit was a waterlogged SMJ connector under the kick panel, another where a rodent gnawed through some wires.
