I have an 89 240sx with a black top sr20det motor..... when I first got the car the alternator was bad charging at 12 - 13 also had a draw on the battery it ended up being my turbo timer.... in the mean time I had removed the check bulb relay for the alternator..... after removed the turbo timer and having the alternator rebuild.... now my battery will over charge till the battery itself boils over i brought it to an auto electric shop which bench test the alternator and told my it was good... also had all the grounds replaced at that time....... im stuck after the battery boils over my car runs super rich and i cant drive it HELP!!!!

thanks in advanceadam

If it works until you "fix"it and then it doesn't work then un-fix it.

Not 100% sure but try putting back the check bulb relay. It probably is required for proper loading of the regulator.

What is the charging voltage. Should be around 14.2 volts.
