So as most of you long time members here know I have had a plethora of problems from my red 96 Nissan D21. The MAF problem I had with it came back, probably another break in the wiring and I was due for emissions so I could not pass. My rust problem was getting outta control, passenger door was almost rotted through, core support rotted, exhaust gone, tires roasted, shocks toast, one bad caliper, and I have always had a valve issue with the engine so I decided now was the time to give up! I say this only because I have a happy ending! I picked up a nearly rust free 93 with nearly 80k miles almost 100% original parts ultra clean! Only downside is it has a auto trans but I can deal with that. The guy at the car lot was super nice and let me swap my speakers and tail light over because one was cracked on the green one, almost took my bedliner but it was hiding loads of rust on the old red Nissan so I let him keep it.

I would just like to take a moment to say goodbye to my old red and also say thanks to this community! If it were not for these forums and the knowledge within, there is no way I would have been able to keep rusty red on the road as long as I did and learn as much as I have about the Hardbody.

Cheers to NICO! and the Nissan Trucks forum! :dblthumb:

Congrats John! She looks wonderful! 93's are special and yours seems to be in great shape and in the right hands.

I kinda wanted to swap em but I like these too! I will probably get some aftermarket rims in the future and keep these for snow. I did switch over a tail light from Red cuz the green one had a cracked one. Almost got to keep my bedliner too but it was hiding TONS of rust so I let the guy at the lot keep it. I am really happy with this thing! So nice, I hope the rust doesn't attack like it did on my 96 cuz I will be furious!!

Speakers installed and slammin!

This is just an idea of how the whole underbody is. Spots of rust in expected spots but overall very very clean! This whole section was rusty on my old red truck. Also the flaps that protect the engine from rust are fully intact!!! I have NEVER seen these things intact! :bigthumb:

See if you can soda blast the bottom and have it undercoated after soda blasting. That'll keep her pretty for years to come.
