$1.10 L = $4.18 US gallon.

Higher across the border in Quebec due to taxes.

Last tank was Friday morning - $2.95 at my favorite station in Spartanburg, SC. Looking at other stations, though, I expect it will go up 3-4 cents by tomorrow.

If you guys live in areas where supermarkets own gas stations (i.e. Giant Eagle / GetGo) - one method of getting cheaper gas...

1) get a customer savings card that gives you $$$ off per gallon during the next fill up for every $10 or $20 bucks you spent at the supermarket.

2) buy a bunch of supermarket giftcards (which you can use to buy the gas at the supermarket owned gas station) - and get $$$ of per gallon as the transaction counts towards the earne.

3) use the giftcard to buy the gas

You end up paying for less gas without spending more $$$.

To add to Andrews Chalmers post, buy the gift cards with a reward credit card. I got back $500 in gift cards last year from Citibanks shell card.

$2.99/gal here in St. Louis. I'm in Illinois a lot, and due to taxes and such it's $3.18 there.

Yeah, i heard it's very cheap there.

But i don't know why here in Brazil, a self-sufficient in petroleum and ethanol and near to become self-sufficient in natural gas too , the prices are all that high.

And brazil has the biggest taxes to buy a Car (In the world).

Example:

If i sell my Versa today, and go to USA with the money in a bag, i can buy two brand new Versas.

It's more impressive if you consider that brazilian currency has less value than the US dollar.

I paid 32,738 US Dollars in my car.

You can imagine how happy i am with this car, it's like you buying a 350z roadster.

Gas around here in NYC (Queens & Brooklyn) is around $3.29 a gallon for regular, regardless of whether it's BP, Mobil or Hess, at most stations. The off-name brand are actually higher, as much as $3.49 for regular, there's a Citgo station charging $3.79 a gallon for regular on the Hutchson River Pkwy on the Bronx side.

It's early March and I won't be surprised we will hit $4 a gallon by April/May - pity those hi-po V8 SUV driver filling up their 25+ gallon tanks with premium. Regular gas in New Jersey had crossed the $3 mark per gallon on regular this weekend - along with higher bridge/tunnel tolls this month for many NY/NJ commuter .......

Gas in Venezuela nationalized = cheap.

Gas in Canada = expensive even though we produce it. I feel your pain.

$3.19 (i think) in Omaha.

I'm seriously thinking of getting a second job just to be able to afford gas to get to my first job (and the gym which is in the other direction from work )

I'm driving my dad's Ford Ranger right now, because one of our cars (not the V, thank the gods!) smashed a deer a couple weeks ago and is in the shop. I am putting in $50 a fill-up! Talk about sticker shock. That's 4 hours worth of work--for stupid gas!

I'm trying to keep trips to the gas station to once a week or so. GRrrrr.

By my calculations 1.57/litre is about 5.93 (US) per gallon

I just paid 1.20/litre today. I expect it to be more in the morning.

The Thursday before the great white death came to our town, gas was $2.99 (I filled up for $30.00 I love my car) the next morning (as the great white death started bearing down on us) it was $3.29.

GD price gaugers.

Re: Supermarket gift cards... Where I get my gas you can buy a card and save 3¢ per gallon. Instead, I use a credit card that gives a 2% cash rebate on gas purchases (as well as groceries and drug store purchases), so right now I get about 6¢ per gallon back. (And the price was still $2.95 this morning.)
