I'm working on getting a plate made for me right now. If it works out successfully I can get more of them made. Should have a CAD drawing within a week.

Just as a quick update..

Me and a buddy of mine borrowed a $1500 set of 24" calipers to measure the plate. It is all drawn up, all we have to do is find a calibrated plotter to plot the drawing and then its done.

If it is on cad why not just cut the plate with a waterjet it comes out nice and clean with the edges.

This guy made a really solid plate it is already in production and mounts up to the stock transmission mounts on a s14 but probably other nissan/infinity too.

gs14racer is actually here on NICO as well. That's the Mazworx adapter. Since it only uses the top portion of the bolts, Wes wanted an alternative plate that used all bolts that was thinner than the Dixon plate.

Would having the extra 4 bolts make that much of a difference?? Ya his swap was sweet I'm in the process of 5 speeding a 93 Q45 just waiting on some info on the clutch mater cylinder. I was going to cast a bellhousing but it may just be better to get the mounting plate. But who knows maybe during the summer when I don't have anything to do that may become a reality lol I was planning on cutting off the vh flange and then welding it to the vg bell then making a mold and pore my own cast but to do this for just one time wouldn't be worth the time spent. But like I said I may need something to carry me along from working it can make you go crazy then I wouldn't be tempted to get any other cars from my work. It saddens me to work at the junkyard sometimes, unless I get to smash a honda or cars that I do not care about.

Ive got the first run of plates in the making. We're going to make 3 to start off with to make sure we dont need to change anything, and then the final batch will be made (of about 10-12 for now, since thats all the bolts I have)

I call dibs on first batch. And the day my s13 vert drives I'm doing it ot my buddy's s14. Which I need to either talk to Wes/Greg. I'll build mounts and send pieces so they can be duplicated so nico can be the offical so your car wants a vh site.

If you want me to duplicate mounts all I need is the dimensions and I can put it in a CAD program... of course, if you dont have access to precise measuring devices (IE calipers) I can do it as well...

Tell you what justin, give me a call sometime (you know where my number is), i'll tell you what im looking for with the plate and we'll see what we can do... I have a "master plan".

I've talked to my girls dad and it's a cake walk for him. You could even photocopy the plate, then fax it to me and he could make it.

Just a few questions:You are going to have to space the flywheel back off of the crank right? What are you going to use for a starter, and clutch, i assume that its Z32 parts, not sure on starter. Are you going to shave off the trans to counteract your thickness? Is this your first adapter plate?just looking for info thanx

Hi Wes

Great project, I'll want one of the adapters, too.

What about the pedals inside the car? I figure the brake pedal needs to be about the same for master cylinder. But the clutch pedal?

As far as pedals, here is a Q from another nico member. It looks like he's still using the stock brake setup. Didn't even shorten the pedal. It does look like he's using an inboard clutch master or something though. I'm gonna try and make a Z32 setup fit!

Wes, is that the first run? Will you be documenting the install on your own Q for NICO? Looking forward

Wes, when you have some pics, can you post some please, and what is the price been set to. Are you using the Z flywheel, and such, just spaced out a 1/4"?

yep no problem.. I dont know my total final price yet so that will obviously change the final price... We'll use the Z flywheel and space it out 1/4 inch using the stock spacers, just add 1 I believe...

I may have to get a set of longer bolts for the flywheel.

Finding those longer bolts for the flywheel is going to be difficult. If you only add one spacer, there's an ARP application that is a couple millimeters longer than stock bolts (and half the prices of OEM bolts). If you need anything longer than that, I wouldn't know where to begin looking.
