I have an aem Short ram, put it on a few weeks ago. Took about an hour and a half or two, but that was the first intake i have ever put on. My exhaust is pretty loud so it muffles out the sound the intake makes. You can hear a little difference and it pulls stronger and smoohter. I'd put it on rightaway if I were you!!! Good Luck with the install and enjoy!

cold air will maybe get you 1 more horespower...no diff really...install took me 10min, sounds awesome...powere gains are a little better, but barely noticable. Enjoy it...take off your fan shroud and mechanical fan and that intake looks really good with nothing around it...check out my setup. The link is in the sig. Page 2 i think.

Very nice looking ride there, Lepchitz. I especially like the lack of a retarded-looking coffee can hanging underneath your rear bumper. :)

I have the AEM short-ram as well... I love it!

The power gains will not be anything amazing, but you will feel it get up and go a bit quicker. The acceleration will be smoother as well.

Installation is a cake walk... very easy and all the hardware is included and the fit is perfect.

One problem I ran into... I had previously rigged up a K&N filter-charger kit from my old 'Scort GT, so I was missing the gasket between the MAFS and filter adapter. I had to get some liquid gasket and then bolt it together... but other than that it was problem free.

Have fun and drive safe

I think the "cold air" is a little easier on the engine as well.

I don't think you should expect much from a ram air intake. I got hotshot headers which are supose to be huge gains but weren't too impressive to me, good thing I got them used and cheap. I'm just saying, don't expect V8 power, but after the headers and riding in a friends stang gt it doesnt feel like I'm too far. i'm preaty close to his pull in lower rpms, but he maintains his pull in higher rpms, while my 240 dies down much quicker, and by a lot more. my sis got aem ram air in her integra and it's more sound then performance. I think it makes the car feel slower because its smoother, but the sound is nice and deep, even for a 1.8L
