Sorry but this thread has got to come back from the dead guys. I read thru the whole thing mostly review stuff but EYE opener very informative needs to be stick'd.



On to my question on this open ended thread.


Solutions to control timing besides ITC which is discontinued i guess.......?
This might start a fire but how bout a "map hack" but for timing?

What im gettin at here is how bout a maf hack with a "timing hack" for na. Save $ on that to spend ur cash on wideband/aftermarket knock sensor/ and a dynolicious app. (and or Gtech). Walla super ghetto flintstones tuning without breakin the bank.


My concept for the maf hack is why not drill hole after maf before throttle body.......
Unfiltered you say----> run a little hose to before maf after air filter
This came to mind because s13 maf is not really hackable.

^ My assumption is this has been tried and didnt work no way possible im the first one to think of this. Venturi affect might make it sketchy is my elementary engineer guess. Of course both of these are not ideal for control since they are "fixed" alterations if that makes sense. FMU works pretty well untilizing this idea.
