I dont understand that at all. It's hard not to like DT if you like other 80s metal. Maybe its too progressive for your tastes? Either way they were great.

I tried hard to get into DT, but it never happened. I think it's because their melody is weak.

Some of their stuff is way too ambient and progressive for me, but some of their songs are amazing and Petrucci is an incredible guitarist. You cant deny how good songs like "Take Me As I Am" and the epic "Home" are. They just screwing rock.

You know I've listening to these 2 songs all day long for 2 days at work. "Home" is definitely better than "As I am," but still I don't get it. Sorry to say this, but songs are not that tight, but they are great musicians technic wise.

I feel somthing when I listen to these. They inspire me big time and I love listening to them. Well, I guess Dream Theater is not my cup of tea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0X3ENMR ... McjXo8ZuqE

Are you talking about old Def Leppard or new Def Leppard? Old albums are amazing. Production was so tight ahead of its time. They've gone bad since Vivian Campbell joined. You know who's he? He played guitar in Dio's Holy Diver album. He was better back then.

This is Vivian Campbell with Dio back in 80's. It's pure greatness.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmSt1oEI ... wX8yF8k0ls

Def Leppard live in 2008. He's guitar on the left side. This song sounds too pop like.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy60E5ltC-o

Man, I haven't been following Def Leppard for a long time and just checked out Bad Actress & Go. I think their last album I have is Slang and stopped buying Def Leppard CDs after that. I didn't even listen to Slang much.

I think first 4 albums are good and Pyromania was their peak. Later they had to make slow songs and change path slightly because of drummer's accident I guess.

I've been watching his videos a lot recently and found that his solo works are better than DT stuff. His play is amazing clean and neat. I like it, but still melody is not good enough.

I think it's a preference. I rather listen to something like this. To me, this is exciting music.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ca9mmj8-IQ
