clean the engine compartment. Hopefully this will be the last time the engine is out so take the opportunity to scrub it down and touch up the flaking paint under your brake master cylinder.

eeee sounds like ur going to have a bit of trouble when u dont even know what to do after u take the motor out......but on that note i recomend cleaning engine bay first then check ALL your wires for slits or cracks, make sure nothing is damaged! just think "what should i do before the motor goes in" make sure all hard to get at bolts are tight on the motor! and visualy go over the entire motor aswell before you stick it in......I.E. cracks in oil lines (i had that occur once) must have been from transport! and another good pointer REPLACE COOLANT LINES ON BACK OF MOTOR they are a ***** to change while motor is in car and u dont want them cracking and u losing all ur coolant! another incident og neglect when a ca18 swap went bad, coolant line wasnt inspected and it had a small crack! crack got bigger and then bam overheated motor and that was that!

but yeah enough blabbering long message short, CHECK OVER EVERYTHING!

and replace anything that looks worn, and a givin to replace is the waterpump, and timing belt!

but yeah just my 2 cents
