I need to buy a clutch so I can balance my rotating assembly. I am also planing on a Fidanza flywheel. I will be in the 500hp neighborhood with torque to match (not exactlysure) but should be 400 + . I was looking at the ACT Heavy duty but it says 50% hold gain and the extreme says 90% hold gain will either of these do ? or is there another option ? thanx !

Spec Stage 4 clutch, call Enjuku Racing, and tell them Rick sent you. Also, if you ever get 500hp, Youll be making all of 400lb ft of torque. What turbo are you going to be running? What kind of bottom end and what kind of engine management, I wouldnt trust an (overpriced) JWT computer (at all) for more than 400ish hp.

Im going to run a t66. The bottom end is being sleeved with ductile sleeves, Pauter rods, ross pitons, ARP main studs. I am going with the JWT because i live in CA and will have to remove the turbo setup every 2 years to pass smog inspection. If you know another management that will cost the same or less please let me know, but the ECU replacement for SMOG is very simple. Spec Stage 4 how much will that run me ? Thanx for the info !

I checked on the SPEC 4 it says 355lb/ft , ACT 4puk XT hold 426 lb/ft is there another clutch that will hold more ? the ACT is like $370+ ! I think the EXEDY is way more $ but dont know the specs on it.

$400 for a clutch that holds that much is not exactly over priced....

Never heard a bad thing on the ACT... spec.... mixed reviews. My pick, ACT. I've got the street and it holds great at 20+psi.

Regardless of brand getting up in the neighborhood of 55 ft-lbs of torque, you will likely need to consider non-organic clutches. Copper Ceramic is widely available, will hold a lot of torque but can be quite harsh and wear the flywheel quickly. Might want to opt for an aluminum or Chromoly flywheel with a replacable face so you only have to replace the face each time you replace the clutch. You can also start getting into carbon on carbon, but I don't think anyone makes one that would fit the 240 with ease. There are other Nissan's that use a flywheel with the same ring gear and bolt patterns but use a larger clutch disc. Some of these may have some heavy duty applications that might work. You might want to ask around on Freshalloy as well. I know they've had a lot of discussions there about this. You might want to ask Mike Lee on FA what clutch he is running as well, since he is making gobs of KA power.

Yeah im sure im going with the fidanza flywheel. The ACT 4 puk is bronze puked . I would love to know what flywheels bolt up, ive seen lots of stuff for Skylines i wonder if they would fit ? I have been trying to get in touch with Mike Lee, no luck yet. But I will search FA, thanx !

Do a search for the white rabbit clutch on FA. He used something bigger like suggested, organic that is supposed to engage smooth but hold ALOT of power.
