Can any one tell me which brand (company name and part number) of a oil filter relocation kit you are using. Also will it have an opening for a oil pressure sending unit on it. Thanks for your help.

I'm running a B&M Oil cooler and relocation kit I got from Summit Online.

here's a link to the part: $109 is a kicka$s deal IMO. comes with everything needed to install (hoses, clamps, fittings, etc..):http://store.summitracing.com/...earch

and here's a pic of the engine bay (with the relocated filter on the passenger strut tower):

nice gatorade catch bottle

did you get that kit, and did ti have a thermostat?? there are fix-a-lite oil-sandwich-sapcer-adapters with built in thermos, also sick coolers with them built in..

you should run an oil thermostat with a cooler...

mine doesn't have a thermostat, but being in Florida, it's never cold here (much like you in trinidad), so according to B&M its not an issue. Oil temps get hot enough, fast enough with a turbo motor, that it's not neccesary to run a thermostat. If you live up north and deal with freezing conditions, you might want to find one with a built in thermostat. They sell one on ebay for about $30 (sandwich fitting with thermostat and oil pressure sender hole).

if you have some money to blow, the greddy kit is a good choice at $100:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

or there's a knock off with no hoses for $60:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

most imports use the same thread on the oil filter, so find an oil filter relocation kit for a nissan, toyota, mitsubishi, or whatever and it'll fit. If in doubt about a manufacturer, go buy a cheapo $3 oil filter from a parts store and test fit the threads on your CA.

I bought a hayden, thermostatic oil cooler, and transmission cooler, off of eGhey for about $30 each. I had to get some extra hose, cuz I didn't have quite enough, but not bad IMHO. I don't have it hooked up yet, but the cooler is about 1/3 the size of my radiator, so it should do just fine.

the cooler and lines might, but the actual adapter won't.

I beg to differ Ryan. Nissan (and most imports for that matter) use the same thread pitch and size on the oil filters. The SR kit will most certainly fit your CA.

Are you sure the SR kit fits.

Remember the problems SR people have with oil filters.. not all SRs have the same thread and stuff.

IIRC most SRs use a different oil filter from the rest of the nissan engines.

really? I'm pretty sure I tried all the Nissan oil filters when I worked at nissan to see if they would thread on my CA, and they did. The short little 350z filter, the tall fat KA filter, and there was a middle sized one too. IIRC the SR uses that tiny short one.

according to the SR FAQ section:S13 SR Oil Filter '91 Sentra SE-R

S14 SR Oil Filter '95 Sentra SE-R 15208-65F00

no problem. It was actually a guy on clubs12 that sent me the link. He installed it on his CA18ET, so I knew it would fit my motor no problem

some SR owners have had engines let go cause their oil filter fell off

there are some SRs that have a different but almost the same thread and it eventually falls off..

I hafta agree too, one of our friends runs one on a 32 gtr, just like that maroon 33 gts-t, and it's pretty good. works a treat !

I was running twin mustang filters, PH8A, using a universal summit kit.

Oil is over rated and expensive.. i shaved 2 seconds off my quarter mile by just running water.

I'm sorry, I was thinking of that Greddy unit that replaces the adapter that bolts to the block.

That kit does look yummy, but rubber lines, and a tiny core makes me think that the $140 setup you can peice together with plates, braided steel lines, and a setrab cooler is the way to go.
