I have an 09 altima.

The manual says to change the oil every 3750 or 3 months.I don't normally rack up 3750 miles in 3 months, (maybe 4 or 5).I also mostly do highway miles and am easy on the pedal, so I am not too worried about oil degradation or acidic buildup.Should I change the oil based on accumulated mileage or stick to the 3 months routine?

My primary concern is retaining the warranty.

Would the dealer ding you if you don't change your oil every 3 months and you have a warranty problem?

Anyone have experience?

Generally, you should go by the mileage, but don't ever let the miles take more than 6 months - that's the longest period of time outlined in the warranty as to when you have to have your oil changed.
