oil change interval?

Hey I searched but never really came up w/ some answers... how often do you guys change your manual transmission oil? I drive my car hard so how often should I change the oil? Last time I changed was a month ago when I got my new clutch I used valvoline synthetic 75-90 (i think, forgot)

15,000mi for hard driving

30,000mi for normal driving

in other words, dont worry about it, maybe once a year? just choose a quality oil like valvoline, reline, motul, etc.. and it will last.

that's a bit high for me, Mobil said to go no higher then 10k on their SuperSyn, Amsoil said the highest you can go is 25k. Using stuff like valvoline or redline, I probably wouldn't go more then 3k. I use Amsoil and change every 5k.

my gears sometimes grind especially when it's cold out, and forget about putting it into 1st when rolling. If I change the oil in my transmission will this help? or are my syncros already done?

i heard its also difficult changing transmission oil?

i dunno about your gears grinding but you can't put it in 1st while rolling because it is designed to prevent downshifts to first over a certain speed to prevent accidental downshift into 1st gear and cause some damage

when you say "designed" you mean they just didnt put 1st gear syncos? I also heard there are no reverse syncros.. anyways sorry for OT. I always thought my 1st gear syncro was gone. I tried shifting into 1st when rolling once and had the worst grind ever. unless i doublt clutch, i cant get into first when rolling.
