Hello all. I went on to my car insurance website, and they recommended replacing my oil and cabin air filter on my V. It's got about 7700 miles on it now.

My question is do I really need to replace these now? If so, would I be able to pick them up at the parts store, or should I get the car serviced at the dealer? Sorry, I really don't know much about cars, but I just bought my V and I plan to keep it for a while, and I want to keep it in good shape.

Thanks! Any help would be appreciated.

Oil, yes. Cabin air filter, no. The manual says 15k on the cabin air filter, and my dealer didn't even want to change it before 30k. (I ordered a few, as they weren't stocked by the dealer.)

If you didn't know, oil filter should be changed at every oil change (3k to 5k miles).

Cabin filter as mentioned I would let go for 30k miles if not more.

Air filter for the engine is another story as well.
