you are kidding, right? We all love are cars, but that is ridiculous. I'd be sitting in the parking lot just to get a look at the fool who actually bought one of these!

The list was interesting to see that my state (Colo.) is relatively low on the list. I guess we don't get as many as I thought here.

Oh yeah, I was kidding. ;)

I can just see the disclaimer on it, just like Biggie said, "PLEASE REMOVE FROM VEHICLE BEFORE DRIVING" :rotflmao

I remember years ago when some company started offering blow-up bags to hang on your doors to stop door dings. Nobody bought those either.

Good idea but Its a device that must be activated by the vehicle owner based on the alert. If it was a passive device it would have greater value. If you live in one of the states where hail is common it also may be easier to predict. Those that are not in one of those geo-regions will have less success in deployment prior to damage occurring.

The problem with these, and all covers really is that they will blow off your car in a strong wind. There is a strap that goes under the car to secure it, but it looks like it would be a pain to attach it. Really most people will never have hail damage, even if you are in a prone area you might get it once in your lifetime. What are the chances the one time you need this it will be on the car and somewhere you can inflate it? I have a good new waterproof cover, but lately I haven't been using it as much because I don't want to get the underside of it dirty or wet. The pollen is so bad right now I'm not putting it on unless the car is washed and dried, and then it makes it more of a pain to use the car. I also like to just look at it much more when I can actually see it.

I had a real good cloth cover for my Camaro, even though it stayed in a garage. I found that I would get the car dirtier taking the cover on and off than just leaving it alone and doing an 80 mph dust blow off. :chuckle:

We had a bad hail storm a few months after I bought my Z. If I hadn't already made plans with my friend that night, I would have been at my mother's with my sister. They got hail there and both my sister's and my mom's car got over a $1000 in damage. I would have just died.

i get to travel the next couple days with threats of heavy storms and potential large hail. Oh Joy. At least tomorrow I can use a parking garage for most of the day but if things continue Friday I might be screwed.

Yeah, we are supposed to have bad storms tonight. That is why I don't want to go get that car tonight. I have a garage, but I'm not sure when it is supposed to start up and you know how long they can take to get all the car dealings taken care of.

Takes lots of pillows and blankets with you. Cover up that bad boy. :)

Tomorrow I'll park in a garage instead of out in the open....depending on when things are supposed to hit. Friday I don't have much choice but be out in the elements I'm afraid.

It it gets beat up it will be fixed. If it's really bad then it will be stripped of parts, put back to stock and sold for a newer one. :)

A true car guy. There is always another car out there to love.

When I walk into a dealership, all the cars are saying "pick me...pick me". When I walk into a nursery, all the plants are saying just the opposite.

I had too many "issues" with the last few GM products I owned. They are really going to have to woo me back. I don't see it happening.

That WS-6 I owned, one day I was waiting for my daughter at the school (yeah, I was the coolest mom) the clutch return spring just popped! Really??? I wasn't speed shifting, just sitting there. Also, power window motors....paint bubbling. I just don't need that kind of crap. The Z has been totally trouble free.

Yeah, that's my concern with other car brands as well.
