Nice, nice, nice! I bet we're starting to catch the number of G50 owners, quite a few of us on here now. Excellent.

Guys, I am so excited. Mon, Jan 2, I am picking up my 99 Q45t from a dealer. It has 63K and is black/tan. I have had MANY nice sports cars including TT Supra, TT RX-7, S2000x2, 300ZX TTx2, NSX, and some others but NEVER a LUXO sedan. I am new here so I appreciate a big welcome. Hope to start moding soon, and I will post pics up after I pick her up. I look forward to all the great owners here that I will get to make friends with. How is the factory paint?? I am wondering if she will have chips all over the front? IS the paint soft or hard on these cars? My IS 300 was terrible with how soft her paint was in the front.

tebbnsx, the paint on these cars is excellent, very tough and chip resistant. Mine is just about 8 years old now and still looks new. Welcome to the club!

Karl, you sure about 225/25 tires? Never seen a 25 series . Spring kit? Well, why don't you get in on the Tein S-tech's I'm about to order for a few other Nico members? The drop is just about 2", and 1/4" less in the rear (see my sig), I've been running on mine for about a year and a half now, love them. I've brought 6 sets over for other Y33 Q owners so far, and a few more on the horizon, so if you want 'em, it's better if I order them at once, than separately.

Falk, your car and Firepwrs are SICK!!!!! Both of them are so sweet it is ridiculous. Props for the great Q's, now I will slowly start my moding. How do we make these cars super FAST?? Can they break into like 5 sec 0 to 60 times?? Any performance mod links would be very helpful.

Thanks

FIGURES!!!!!!!!!!!! The body shop screwed up and messed some of the paint when they reinstalled the bumpers, and paintless dent removal wasn't that. I also thought they were gonna paint they whole trunk lid across the back, instead they painted and blended to the passenger side. They could not leave the Q45 decal off because of the impression left from the original. Now I have to contact the insurance to get authorization to "fix" the problem

Falk.....please excuse the typo. My tires are not that "low profile". They are 225/45s. I would appreciate being included in your next spring order. If you will tell me what you need from me to make it happen, I'll do so. Couple of questions: 1) What size tires are you running and what is your wheel offset? (I would like to go to 245/45s my next set and wonder about inside clearance. My wheels are 18/8 with +40mm offset.) 2) Have you done anything with the other suspension components? (I remember reading in one of your posts that your Q handles as good as it looks. That is also what I hope to accomplish.) As an aside, please be advised that if my wife the Iron Swede asks, I'll say Tein Springs is just south of Fanning Springs and a wonderful place to go rafting.

Yes, Tein Springs is quite a lovely place indeed, great water, next to Desert Hot Springs it's one of my favorites, lololol.

I'm going to make a separate post for the Tein info, to keep this thread On Topic - sorta

Can we use the Tein springs with the stock struts?? If so how long will they last before they are shot?? Are there good aftermarket shocks that can be used as replacements with the Teins? Or is there a good coilover set for the Q45??

I got my car guys. Drove her home from Chicago on Monday, spent yesterday cleaning it up. I am super anal and I hate it but here are the details on it.

99 Q45t, 64K miles, Black/tan all OEM.

Here are the issues I need to fix:

1. Repaint front and rear bumpers, clear pealing on the rear.2. Get about 6 door and body dings taken out.3. Get paint professionally cleaned, polished, and buffed, I hate/love BLACK!!!4. Power ant. is stuck about half way up, any ideas??

Here are the things I am planning to do in the next few months in terms of mods:

1. FX 45 20" wheels and springs or coilovers2. New grill3. Exhaust and intake, any recomendations??

I am glad to be a part of the community.

Start a new thread. I can help with a couple issues when you do it. And check falks post on the teins for sale.

Falk,

Does your car have any of the typical rock chips or dings anywhere? I am just wondering how anal other Q owners are? Man, I can't look at my bumper until I get it painted or it just eats at me. My car has a few dings which I am getting out this week and also a few scratches. It need a good professional paint clean and buff. How do you maintain your Q so well with it being Black and a daily driver? The cost for me to get both bumpers and my mirrors taken off and stripped and refinished is $1500.00 which I felt was kinda high really. I figured more like $1K MAX.... Also what is that Ant. mast link off ebay?? Thanks...

Man, I don't know if I can deal with this black?? I may sell and buy a Silver or white one. Anyone interested in a clean 99 Q45t with 65K miles for $14,500.00??

C'mon man, it's not that bad! Just get the bumpers fixed up and get it detailed, then wash it weekly, wax it monthly and you'll be all set bro.

'99 T - No heated seats, no Nav. Still 99.99% stock (A/F is not anymore) AFAIK.

No heated seats, no NAV. Looking to bolster it with an Eclipse AVN 5495 and options, plus a Python 881XP alarm. Not sure if I am going to replace all of the speaker components or just add a sub yet. Hefty price, and this is after being school buddies with the owner of the local shop *and8 getting a hefty discount from it.

This ContiSportContact 2 in a 305/25-20 has been seen on a handfull of Benz SL's and CLS's.

I accidentally came across another 25 series tire while looking for rubber on the net recently, but don't remember what size it was. The overall diameter of the 305/25-20 is listed as 26.2, but with a minimum recommended wheel width of 10.5 inches, I wouldn't know at what offset one would use to prevent them from protruding from the rear wheel fenders of a (F)Y33 or any other Nissan chassis for that matter.

Her[QUOTE=bullittandy]97, three owners. Check out the miles (200K), drives like 50K. Trying to compress a picture of the car to post also, stay tuned.

Here is the exterior, freshly scrubbed.
