Wrong thread lol. This belongs in the Official G50 owners thread (1990-1996). Nice Q though

Sandy, your Q looks great!

New to Infiniti, been driving bmw for 5 years. I am enjoying my 97 q45, and learning a lot from this forum. I have 149k and have just serviced fuel, oil and tranny. Have also replaced tension bar bushings and am considering new springs and struts(inserts?). Falk, are yours KYB w/ Tein springs? Also, what wheel/ tire combo? I'm in a non-Infiniti heavy area so this board is my best source of info. I'm also not familiar with the protocol here, so if I do something wrong, just let me know. Thanks, jim

p.s. i need 2 buttons for my stereo, are they available or do I have to order the whole unit?

B4, Chaps, and DeepSouth, welcome, and since two of you seem interested in springs, look down the Q45 page for the Tein S-tech thread, I have 5 sets on the way, so get to me quick, or you'll be waiting for the next set which will probably be December.

I do indeed have the Tein / KYB combo, the first in the US. I have TSW 19x8 f and 19x9.5r w/ 245/35 & 275/30 General Exclaim UHP tires.

Welcome to the Nico boards guys.

man, them FX wheels look hard as hell, i'm going to get them probably and then a set of staggerd 18s or 19s. more likely 18s then the 20s and keep my stock ones as well and mabye get them chrome dipped forl ike $150 each in the future. but i'm still deciding on the size of my staggered wheels i'm thinking 245/45 F and 265/40or 275/35 something like that. i want a wide as tire in the back. just want my Q to look like a Beast on the road but lux on the inside. that's what i'm going for.

I still have one set of Tein springs coming over, (on the last 5 sets, I got 4, so they owe me one still), that would make it look perfect! The FX wheels look great on it.

Love the new grille. Got any more on the way??? I'm willing to throw down some money for one now....

tt300z- Awesome combo! Nothing would make me happier than having the Q45 parked next to a Twin Turbo 300zx in the garage.

I've been lurking around here or about 6 months and found a bunch of great information on this site. Thought I'd post my beast. Bought it about 6 months ago and it's a head turner. Completley stock, very fast, and near perfect. I sell solar energy systems and most of my customers are upper end professionals. I drove a few Camrys before I bought the Infiniti and as I did, I noticed every other car on the road was a Camry. My Q will never blend into the bland landscape of cardom. I know for certain that my Q has closed more than a few high dollar deals because the car excudes confidence.

I really like nicoclub.com. Thanks for the resource!

Nice looking Q. Your rear window appears to not have tint on the upper portion. Is that the case? I just had my windows tinted and they had to leave the tint off on the top too because of the plastic pearl beads on the window. I'm not sure that I like the look but I'm trying to get use to it. Do you know any other way around this?

Thanks. It is tinted up there, it's just that the pattern on the window makes it look like that. They told me the same thing, that they might not be able to tint up there, but they did.

tebbnsx wrote:Guys, I am so excited. Mon, Jan 2, I am picking up my 99 Q45t from a dealer. It has 63K and is black/tan. I have had MANY nice sports cars including TT Supra, TT RX-7, S2000x2, 300ZX TTx2, NSX, and some others but NEVER a LUXO sedan. I am new here so I appreciate a big welcome. Hope to start moding soon, and I will post pics up after I pick her up. I look forward to all the great owners here that I will get to make friends with. How is the factory paint?? I am wondering if she will have chips all over the front? IS the paint soft or hard on these cars? My IS 300 was terrible with how soft her paint was in the front.

Congrats man! It looks amazing, how hard was it to make the Wald kit fit the US bumpers? Mine is going to be in that EXC Luxury car show in 2 weeks time, can't wait to see how people respond to it, although I know I'm not going to win anything when other Q's that will be there look like they bought everything in the JP catalog and copied exactly. I prefer the way yours and mine are our own blends of parts to create unique looks and not "hey look at me, I made my car look exactly like the one in the catalog!" <- anyone can do that.

Like your setup. Car looks unique. Wonder how those euroline's would look on a F50.

I've seen the D23 before And I think those and the OZ opera II III look almost alike. The Eurolines have a bigger lip.
