So it has come time for those of us that just plain out ballin' with their RB's identify themselves as a RBBA member.

This group (like the NRRBA) is a fun group to distrigish this select group of RB engine owners apart from the ever growing crowd of these motors. Nothing is wrong with the "hey, I'm on a tight swap budget" build or similar. But this is the area to bring light to those crazy people who just go all out pretty much.

It has been discussed with others that the standards we must up keep are majority of status rather than performance (list is not limited to):

Must be an RB engine ownerCurrent location (car or engine stand) does not matter

Lets keep this clean and fun, no sense in knocking other's engines but think twice before submitting a CA18 with a Polished RB20 front cover on it. And if your car is baller, thats fine but lets keep this to baller RB engines instead.

I am a rbba in process

rb 25 Head- flow benched ,ported ,polished ,valve job( springs ,retainers ,seats, guides ect) oil orifices opened up.bottom - custom crank collar, lightened ,balanced with flywheel and clutch,pistons je, rods (in process), block oil orifices opened up,pressure tested,ectmanagement-apexi power fc, fc pro(same as datalogit but made by apexi), laptop.intake- greddy knock off (for a reason ) match ported to head, flowed ,ported and polished. power coated ( in process) turbo (undecided)35r, hx40, 40r turbo manifold- Ebay ( for reason above) match ported flowed. After the engine is done and installed in the car I will cut it to peaces and make it fit as well as take care of wastegate location.(have access to all welding and fab stuff a boy could ever want ) Down pipe- one off custom have ability to weld and bend 4" stainless. N1 oil and water pump. Clutch act extreme ( can hold up to 600 ft pounds of torque)clutch not a twin plate. Most of my efforts are in the machining. The block has had the casting flashings ground off (by me, very tedious work). Everything else was done my machine shops.

Final hone to fit the pistons was done with a torque plate I had machined specifically for the job. Now I have a nice $500.00 piece of aluminum.

Rear oil feed has been blocked. An oil restrictor has been installed in the front feed.

Tensioner has been relocated and the area for the RB26 knock sensors has been drilled and tapped.

Installation of the JUN crank collar was an interesting debate between different machinists.

RB26 valve lash adjustments will drive you crazy. Torque the cams, measure, remove cams, measure shim, good luck finding the correct shim! Found it was effective to tick a little off the valve stem or surface grind some of the other shims. Appearantly this is not a new concept, some Jaguar heads were simular setups. Then a cam cap bolts can snap when you least expect it. At least the cam did not snap in two like others have had happen!

Crank and rod bearing clearances mic out to be within specs.

Right now the last piece of my motor puzzle is being worked on. The Wiseco pistons have to much dome area. My compression ratio would be around 9.2:1. To much for my taste. My machinist has to do some creative cutting so we do not get to thin on the top. Thicker head gasket would have been to easy.

All these parts are sitting in my spare bedroom. Hopefully next week I can start the assembly.

my vote goes to Booztd3 and 74260zt so far. 74260zt, how does your car run? i followed it a few years ago when both of us were still in the swap phase but i havent heard much about your car recently.

I know. I've been debating on what to replace it with. I'm thinking Spec, South Bend, RPS, or ACT. They are all in my price range and torque needs.

Here's a more recent pick. I now have lost count of how many times I've pull the motor.

my 5 month project... still not done...

tons of bolt ons... bah bah bah... still not finished

not 1 wire in the car is OEM.. took my friend a good wk to wire this sucker up... everything tucked makes it soooo clean.

All i need is some 550cc injectors & a steering wheel...

not pictured... PFC w/ Datalogit, Nardi Shift Knob, Catch Can, & a full set of wheels...

I think the attention to detail is enough to let me in... I still think the engine bay is dirty...

Suspension:tein flex coils, nismo power brace, r33 gtr wheels, r33 gts-t brakes x4, spl tension rods.

Car runs and drives and has been tracked a full season this year. future plans are full-race gt3582r 1.06 and some body work (bigass dent and crooked trunk)
